IMPORTANT INFORMATION PLEASE READ BEFORE COMPLETING ENTRY FORMS Entry Requirements: The following must be included with ALL entry forms. Entries received without these items will not be given a number until they are received by the Secretary. 1. A copy of a current negative Coggins for each pony/horse. This must be provided to the 2014 Show Management BEFORE the entry can be allowed on the show grounds. No copying facilities are available on the show grounds. 2. A check made payable to ACPS Region VII to cover entries, including stabling fees. 3. A completed entry form with signatures of EACH owner/agent and rider (or parent/guardian/trainer if a minor) on Release (See Below). DRESSAGE: All dressage and Combined Test Competitors MUST pre-enter and entries must be postmarked by July 1, 2014. For Dressage Test of Choice, indicate Federation (USDF, USEA, USEF), level, and test on the entry form through USEF Third Level or USEA Preliminary. Example: USDF Intro Test A, USEA Preliminary Test B, USEF Training Level 1. Dressage arena size will be determined by entries. Combined Test and Eventing dressage tests must be ridden from memory. Other dressage tests may be read. By special request, Prix Caprilli Introductory Test and Prix Caprilli Training Test will be offered if there are sufficient entries. Show management reserves the right to prohibit or disqualify exhibitors; change, cancel, or combine classes at their discretion. ALL ENTRIES MUST INCLUDE: CHECK (made out to ACPS Region 7), COPIES OF NEGATIVE COGGINS & ACPS REGISTRATION PAPERS (FOR ALL PUREBRED AND HALF-BRED REGISTERED CONNEMARAS). Email completed entry and stabling form to M Blue Sidebottom at msidebottom@purina.com. Fees: Friday through Sunday $75 One day only $45. (This price includes 2 bags of shavings per stall and the NEC will clean out the stalls at the end of the show.) Arrivals after 7PM will not be charged for that day, but a minimum of 1 day will be charged for any stall used. When blocks of stalls are reserved, trainers need to identify who they are to be billed to upon arrival. If tack stalls are to be split, a list needs to be presented to the office detailing to whom and how much. If such a list is not presented the person ordering the tack stall will be held responsible for the entire amount. CHECK WITH SECRETARY s BOOTH FOR STALL ASSIGNMENTS. SHAVINGS: All shavings orders and payments will be handled at the concession stand and no deliveries will be made past 5PM. ALL SHAVINGS MUST BE PURCHASED THROUGH THE NEC ($8 PER BAG, 2 BAG MINIMUM). NO OUTSIDE SHAVINGS MAY BE BROUGHT INTO THE FACILITY PER NEC RULES. ANYONE BRINGING IN OUTSIDE SHAVINGS WILL BE CHARGED AN ADDITIONAL $15 PER STALL CLEAN UP FEE.
SCHOOLING: Schooling will be allowed Friday 12 noon until 9PM and Sat after the show, if time allows. Riders will be allowed to hack in both Dressage and Jumper rings Saturday until 7:30AM. Hard Hats & Attire: Approved hard hats must be worn at all times when mounted by all. Proper attire includes breeches and hard soled shoes or riding boots. Polo shirts and half chaps may be worn. Adds & Scratches: All adds/scratches during the show must be made on the form provided in the horse show office. Horses showing in a class in which they have not entered will be required to pay double the class fee. No credit for scratches will be made unless the proper form is filled out prior to the completion of the class. Parking: Ample parking is available in designated areas. To eliminate congestion in the barn lanes, please move trailers to the designated area immediately after unloading. DO NOT PARK IN THE FIRE LANES-YOU WILL BE TOWED AT YOUR EXPENSE. Non-Showing Horses: Any non-showing horse on the property must be registered with the secretary and have a signed release on file. They may be required to pay a $30 schooling fee, $20 office fee, and $25 grounds fee or stall fee ($45, $75) BEFORE schooling. FOOD: NEC has a concession stand that will be available All Day inside the main building with air conditioning. There is a small tack store inside the NEC for any last minute needs. Green s Country Store & Feed is next door to the NEC and carries Feed and extras for any last minute items needed. Connemara In-Hand Purebred classes ponies will be judged on Connemara type, correct conformation, disposition and movement. In the Half-bred classes, breed type will not be considered. Sale Showcase class is an opportunity for all ponies for sale to be shown in hand. A brief description of the pony including any other classes he or she will show in will be read aloud so that the spectators and prospective buyers might also watch for the pony in performance classes. Please utilize provided form to give details on your pony. Indicate Sale in the class number portion of the entry form. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to be on time for classes. If you expect you may be late for a class due to a tack, rider or pony change or ring conflict please notify the Show Manager at the Show Office. The Show Committee, ACPS Region VII, The American Connemara Pony Society or the National Equestrian Center will not be responsible for any loss or damage to the property as a result of the Show. There will be a cash bar available at the dinner for those who would like to celebrate after the show! You MUST PRE-REGISTER for this dinner.
