Pathways from the qualification After achieving this qualification candidates may undertake: BSB 40507 Certificate IV in Business Administration How long will it take? The amount of time taken to gain a qualification depends on the mode of study you choose. Most qualifications may take between 12 24 months of study. Where can I learn? Both on-the-job & off-the-job (if required) are available, plus utilising the workplace to expose trainees to a range of variables and situations is the most effective method of training delivery and assessment. These units of competency have been organised so that on the job, off the job or combinations of both may be chosen. The program may be delivered entirely on the job through work based learning, mentoring and coaching by workplace representative/training coordinator, workplace projects & activities and paper based. How will I learn? Apprentices This course is for people who are currently employed in the Asset Maintenance (Cleaning) industry, and have a Training Contract. Depending on you and your employer s needs, learning may be on-the-job, off-the-job or a combination of both. Learning options will include: Practical observation of required tasks On-the-job training within the workplace Class theory based learning which supports and encourages Participants to be pro-active in their workplace. Demonstration/practical exercises - to show you how to do things Resources to enable access to changing industry practices, eg. DVD s/videos Computer availability for access to up-to-date industry knowledge and information. Self paced.

DVD s/videos Computer assisted learning for access to up-to-date industry knowledge and information. Self paced. Nominal Hours Throughout all assessments, Occupational Health & Safety procedures must be followed. You will be assessed by some or all of the following methods: 400 Recognition you may be able to show that you already have the ability, and don t need to be assessed again. Packaging Rules Total number of units = 13 2 core units plus 11 elective units 7 elective units must be selected from the Group A units listed below. The remaining 4 elective units may be selected from the Group A or Group B elective units listed below, or any currently endorsed Training Package or accredited course at the same qualification level. If not listed below 2 of the electives units may be selected from a Certificate II or Certificate IV qualification. Elective units must be relevant to the work outcome, local industry requirements and the qualification level. Where the packaging rules of this qualification meet the rules of a specialist qualification, the specialist qualification and not the generic qualification must be awarded.
