How do I get into the Infrastructure Technician Field?

The Ready to Work Academy

The Ready to Work Academy Rocky Mountain Education Center (RMEC) Will help students access the growing field of Infrastructure Technicians. The program takes place in a comprehensive classroom and practical learning environment using real equipment. The program provides a ten day intensive instruction and hands on lab work.

Major Course Goals The Ready to Work Academy program will prepare students to: 1. Earn an OSHA 10 General Industry card 2. Understand and properly use the tools necessary to the infrastructure technician industry. 3. Earn an EPA Section 608 card.

Major Course Goals 4. Earn the ability to work safely and profitably on equipment during their paid internship 5. Earn the knowledge of hard and soft skills necessary to secure an entry level position in the Infrastructure Technician field 6. Paid Internships available 7. Develop a Personal Education Plan

Pre-Requisite: High school diploma, GED Reading comprehension and writing of the English language at or above the 9th grade level Be 18 years or older by the start of the internship

Employers are Waiting to Interview for Possible Paid Internships Students who successfully complete the Ready to Work Academy and its requirements will be provided the opportunity to interview for a paid internship at the end of the Ready to Work Academy.
