SENIORS: Plan Ahead!!! As a part of College Knowledge Month, several Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU schools) will be waiving their application fees the week of October 27-31, 2014. If you are applying to a two year MnSCU school (such as Century College) or any of the MnSCU four year schools (Bemidji; Mankato; Metro State; Moorhead; St. Cloud; Southwest State; Winona) the application fee will be waived during the last week in October. Please see your counselor if you have any questions.

For Students from Low-Income Families Every Day of the year, students from families with modest incomes can apply at no charge using a NACAC fee waiver at the U of M, Minnesota State Colleges and Universities and the non-profit colleges that are members of the MN Private College Council. High School counselors and college admission staff can help a student make these arrangements.

FALL EXPLORERS PROGRAM FOR STUDENTS A program for students (age 14-20 years old) who are interested in exploring a career in healthcare. There are 6 sessions on Mondays through December 15, 2014. COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP Stillwater Area High School seniors have the opportunity each year to apply for scholarships established by a variety of generous donors (i.e., service organizations, businesses, families and alumni). In most cases, the scholarship originator has established applicant criteria and the selection process for their scholarship. If you were not able to attend the October meeting, please pick up your application in the College/Career Center. Don t miss out on this fantastic scholarship opportunity for both 4 year colleges and technical schools. There are over 30 scholarships in this packet. Remember to check off the scholarships you are applying for if you don t, you won t be considered. You can also check out Naviance for all the scholarship information you may need. The due date for this scholarship is February 6th, 2015 by 3:00 p.m. no exceptions!!!

COMCAST SCHOLARSHIP Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Requirements: Full-time high school senior currently enrolled at a high school within a Comcast Community. Student Grade point average of 2.8 or higher Demonstrate leadership abilities in school activities or through work experiences. Strong commitment to and involvement in community service. Plan to attend an accredited, nonprofit college, university, or vocational/technical school in the United States. Your principal or counselor may nominate only one senior from the high school to apply for this award. Please pick up your application in the College/Career Center and return it by November 18th, 2014. Counselors and principal will then make their decision.
