Simple t Implement, Manage, and Supprt Simple t Implement The hallmark f the Oracle Database Appliance is its simplicity: a single bx, with servers, strage and netwrking all engineered tgether as a cmplete system with n assembly r wiring required. T deply and use the Oracle Database Appliance, simply unpack it, plug in the pwer crd, plug in the netwrk cables, and run the Oracle Appliance Manager installatin t create a clustered, highly available database and WebLgic Server. Simple t Manage and Maintain Maintaining systems and keeping all the assciated sftware elements current with the latest patches is ften ne f the mst time cnsuming and errr-prne tasks administratrs are cnfrnted with. The Oracle Database Appliance and its specially engineered sftware enables ne buttn patching fr all the elements f the sftware stack firmware, perating system, clusterware, strage manager, and database sftware. The appliance simplifies strage management by autmatically detecting perfrmance and availability issues and perfrming crrective actins. Disks can be replaced withut administrative tasks, and shuld a strage device exhibit behavir that indicates it is beginning t fail and is impacting perfrmance, the appliance will ffline the disk and rebuild redundancy. If hardware fails r is abut t fail, the Autmated Service Request capability (phne hme) generates autmatic requisitins fr replacement cmpnents such as disks, pwer supplies, fans etc. When a prblem ccurs, Oracle Database Appliance gathers and packages all the relevant lgs t service the supprt request. Rather than requiring the DBA r System Administratr t manually search fr and cmpile all the lgs and system histry when issuing a Supprt Request, the Oracle Appliance Manager autmatically cllects and then cmpiles the relevant lgs and histry, allwing issues t be prcessed, analyzed and fixed much mre quickly.
