POSITION PURPOSE The purpse f this psitin is t: Lead and manage Meridians infrmatin and data services Effectively lead the develpment and implement the delivery f Infrmatin Management strategy and assciated activities, with alignment t the business strategy at Meridian. Ensure Meridian infrmatin, data and related tls are ptimised t add maximum value t the business. Lead the Meridian infrmatin management cmmunity t establish the BI Gvernance framewrk, with supprting prcesses, capabilities and training t ensure that data at Meridian is effectively managed as an enterprise asset. Manage the dcument and cntent management prgramme fr Meridian, maximising efficient retrieval f infrmatin t meet industry best practice, quality and legislative requirements. 2. POSITION VALUE The BI/Infrmatin Manager leads the develpment and executin f a cmprehensive and valued Infrmatin Management capability at Meridian, while prviding valued services t the business which will create efficiencies in their peratin, reslve critical issues, and imprve infrmatin used fr critical decisin making thrugh successful management f the Infrmatin and BI envirnments. The aim is t achieve high levels f custmer satisfactin thrugh clear and prfessinal cmmunicatin and the delivery f quality utputs. This rle delivers practical and technical expertise t ensure Meridian is managing its infrmatin, data and intellectual prperty as an asset. POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES Yu are expected t deliver and demnstrate: Infrmatin Management Strategy and Cntinuus Imprvement Lead the develpment and management f the infrmatin management strategy fr Meridian. Develp a strng infrmatin management strategic directin and maturity mdel fr Meridian, which ensures there is wrk twards imprving hw infrmatin and data is managed including strage and capacity planning. Develp plans fr cntinuus imprvement (based n metric utcmes) in cllabratin with business representatives, that fcus n specific areas/issues t be wrked n, t ensure the gals and benefits f the Infrmatin Management capability are being realised. BI Gvernance Build and implement a BI Gvernance framewrk tailred t the needs f Meridian, and facilitate rganisatinal and behaviural change as it relates t leveraging and using data. Champin and embed the BI Gvernance framewrk at Meridian. Effectively prbe business issues and slve rt cause prblems, develping the framewrk and imprving BI capabilities within the business. Drive and deliver a rbust BI Gvernance capability that streamlines business prcesses, data architecture, and sustain data quality acrss Meridian t ensure ne surce f truth. Ensure thrugh that the BI Gvernance framewrk integrates with data, prcesses, rganisatin, applicatin and technlgy architectures and practices t help the rganisatin manage risk and change, and t imprve effectiveness, agility and accuntability. Organise and manage the BI Data Gvernance Cuncil activities, as the leadership and central decisin-making grup fr BI at Meridian. Cntent and Dcument Management Wrk with key stakehlders in Meridian business units t identify, develp and implement knwledge strategies and practices, bth within business units and acrss the rganisatin. Leveraging intellectual prperty via cmmunities f interest. Review, imprve r develp plicies and prcedures fr dcument management, archiving and retentin and dispsal. Lead change initiatives pertaining t infrmatin-related legislatin (Privacy Act, Official Infrmatin Act, State Sectr/Cmmerce Act) and particularly the Public Recrds legislatin, as applicable t Meridian. Champin the use f effective enterprise cntent management t integrate business prcesses acrss the rganisatin.
