The budget, the meeting site, food, schedule, presentations, contracts and public relations. 7. Name some characteristics most hospitality professionals have in common. They like people, they pay attention to detail, they are flexible and they work hard. 8. What is the difference between a two-year and a four-year hospitality degree? A two-year degree focuses on the basics of culinary arts and lodging operations. The student earns certification or an Associates Degree. A four-year Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Management builds on the basic skills then prepares the student for management jobs through business and leadership courses. 9. Why is Hospitality Management a good career for people who like to travel? Because there a good jobs available in almost any location. 10. How can you find out more about a career in Hospitality Management? Research hospitality jobs and education options. Talk to people who have jobs in restaurants, hotels and convention centers.
