Accessing TheDataLocker Online Backup On your browser, type in TheDataLockerURL: http:// You will see TheDataLocker Home Page: Registration / Creating an Account a. Click Sign Up Now Icon or Get Started Link. These links will lead you to the registration page. b. Fill-out with the necessary information then click Submit.

c. You will be receiving a notification and confirmation email upon successful registration. d. An activation email will be sent to your email with your log in details. Logging in to TheDataLocker User may log in via the Home Page through the Log In section. Simply enter Username and Password

e. User may also click Sign In Link and will be redirected to the Log In page. To log in, just Enter username and password. f. If Log in is successful, user will be redirected to your TheDataLocker User Interface.

Using TheDataLocker Online Backup Client Interface The navigation elements listed below provide access to all functional areas of TheDataLocker Online Backup client interface. The File Menu can be accessed at all times and consists of eight areas: Up One Level, Create New Folder, Download Files, Upload Files, Share Files, User Setting and Log out. Control Icon Description Up On Level Enables user to go up one folder higher above its current location Create New Folder Enables user to create new folder. Download Files Upload Files Share Files File History Report Enables user to initiate the download stored file procedure. Once user clicks on this icon, user will be asked if he want to just open or save the file to be downloaded in his local disk. Enables user to initiate the upload file and backup procedure. Once user clicks this icon, a dialog box will appear which will allow him to browse and add on files that he wish to store. Enables user to initiate the file sharing procedure Once user clicks this icon, a dialog box will appear asking for the recipients email addresses on which the download link will be sent. Enables user to track his Upload, Download and Sharing activities. User Settings Enables user to changes settings (Password, Theme, Subscription, Language, Profile, Add friends) Sign Out Sign Out Enables Users to Log off their account.

The status bar, positioned at the next row below the file menu, provides fast and easy monitoring of the folder name, location, files and file sizes and processes of the application. Both these menus are always visible at the top side of the screen. The left hand side of the interface displays TheDataLocker online backup client interface folder structure including the subfolders and files within folders. The right hand side displays the individual files within a selected folder. You can include or exclude individual files in the Backup task by selecting or deselecting the checkboxes. Creating a New Folder How to Create a New Folder Creating a folder allows user to properly sort out and manage your files. Click create new folder icon or On the user interface, Right-click on the main folder. A drop-down menu will appear, click on New and then Folder.

A dialog box will appear. Provide your desired folder name. Click OK to create a new folder. You can immediately locate the newly created folder on the left side of the interface. You may also create a subfolder (a folder within a folder). Just right click unto the folder then click new, then folder.

Uploading Files / Creating a Back Up How to upload files / creating a back up a. From the left side menu, choose the destination folder where you want to store your file. b. Click in the Upload files button. A dialog box will appear that will allow you to browse, choose and add the files that you wanted to backup. c. Click add button and browse to locate the files you wish to store. Click on their file names then click open on upload to start back up. <Example: Folder: Photos>>Sub-Folder: Office> d. Once you finished selecting the files that you wish to store, click on Upload button. You will then see your files being uploaded together with the upload status.

e. Once upload is successful, you can now easily locate your stored / uploaded files within the destination folder that you initially selected. Note: You will see on the Status Menu the current number of files and total size contained in the folder. Downloading / Restoring File How to Download / Restore Files a. From the left side menu, choose the folder containing the file that you wanted to download / restore. Click on the file then click on the Download Button on the top menu. b. You will then be asked if you wanted to open the file or save it on your local computer. Chose one then click OK. c. You will see the status of the files being downloaded.

Sharing a File How to Share Files o Choose the file that you wanted to share. o Click the Share Button on the top menu. o The Share File pop up will appear. Enter your friend s name and address then click Share A message will appear saying File sharing has been completed.

Downloading Shared Files How to download shared Files. a. An email will be sent to your recipients email containing the Download link for your shared files b. Click on the link which will redirect you to the download page of the shared files. c. There will be a waiting time of 60 seconds for the non-premium members. After that, the download button will appear.

d. Click the Download Button and it will automatically start downloading your file to your computer.

Deleting a File / Folder How to Delete a File / Folder a. From the left side menu, choose the folder / file you wish to delete. b. Right click on the file then click Delete from the drop-down menu. c. You will be asked to confirm if you wanted to pursue deleting the file. Click OK to confirm or cancel to quit. Once you clicked OK, the chosen file will be deleted.

Renaming a File / Folder How to Rename a File / Folder a. To rename a folder or a file, just right click on the folder or file you wanted to change the name of then click Rename on the drop down menu. b. You will then be asked to type in the new name for your folder. Once done, click OK.

Transferring a File / Folder How to transfer files from folder to folder You can transfer your files from one folder to another by either the cut and paste method or the copy and paste method. a. Copy and Paste Method: If you wanted to create a duplicate copy of the file to another folder 1. Click on the folder where your file is located then right-click on the file you wish to copy. 2. A drop down menu will appear, click on Copy. 3. After which, choose a different destination folder where you wanted to create a duplicate file. Right click on the folder and click on Paste from the drop down menu. Your file will then be created inside the folder.

b. Cut and Paste Method: If you want to totally transfer the file 1. Click on the folder where your file is located then right-click on the file you wish to transfer. 2. A drop down menu will appear, click on Cut. 3. After which, choose a different destination folder where you wanted to transfer your file. Right click on the folder and click on Paste from the drop down menu. Your file will then be created inside the folder.

Download as Zip How to Download as ZIP File If you wish to download your files as a folder, archived and compressed, you may download it using a ZIP file format. a. Select the folder. Right click then click on Download as ZIP b. Click OK to continue Download. You may also rename the downloaded folder if you wish to. c. You will then be asked to Open / Save your Downloaded ZIP file. d. Your file will then be downloaded.

Viewing Photos Online o Right-click on the photo s file name then click Open o A pop up window will appear allowing you to view the photo Viewing Videos Online o Right-click on the video s file name then click Open o A pop up window will appear allowing you to view the photo

Editing Files Online To edit files online, right click on the file name and choose Edit Online Zoho Online Edit Window will pop up where you can modify your file Save files by clicking Save Icon Your modified file will then be saved and reflected on your backup file list

Changing User Settings How to Change user Settings Update your Personal Information by filling out the personal information fields: User name, Name, Email, Address, Gender, Date of Birth, Theme, Password To change your UI Theme/Look, click on Pick Your Theme and choose from the premade themes selection.

Upgrade Subscription Settings Click on Change Subscription Button Choose subscription type enter your credit card information Click Upgrade Button You will receive a confirmation that you have successfully upgraded your TheDataLocker Account Add Friends Option Add your friends by filling out the add friend form with your friends name and email address

You can change your settings: Language and Passwords through the change user setting options. Language/Culture: Choose from the different available languages by clicking the drop down arrow.

Change Password: Just tick the checkbox and enter your Current Password, new password and confirm it. Once your profile is updated, click OK and a confirmation message will pop up on your screen

File History Report How to track your File upload, Download and Sharing activities. a. To know File Upload and Download Status / History o Click in the Report button, o Click Upload and download History tab. o Fill out the date range and click View Report. A pie chart will appear (for non-premium members) as well as the file history report. b. To know File Shared Status / History o Click in the Report button, o Click File Shared tab. o Fill out the date range and click View Report.
