TRAVEL INFORMATION Welcome Service KU tutors will pick you up at the train station Eichstätt Stadt and guide you to the Kolping Hostel or alternative accommodation. It might not be the most convenient option but definitely the cheapest one. We recommend the so-called Bayernticket: Bayernticket for 1 person: EUR 22.00, valid for 1 person Monday until Friday between 09.00 a.m. and 03.00 a.m. (18 hours) Bayernticket for 2 persons: EUR 26.00 Bayernticket for 3 persons: EUR 30.00 Bayernticket for 4 persons: EUR 34.00 Bayernticket for 5 persons: EUR 38.00 (maximum) You can buy the tickets by internet (www.bahn.de) or at the vending machine.
The International Office will help you to find the adequate train connection, so please simply contact us and let us know your time of arrival at the airport. NOTE: If you look for your train connection in www.bahn.de, please always look for Eichstätt Stadt. Eichstätt has two train stations and you must get off the train in Eichstätt Bahnhof in any case. Direct Transfer by Taxi If you arrive late in the afternoon in Munich you will not be able to travel by train because the last train to Eichstätt leaves at 20.31 h from MUC. In this case we highly recommend direct transfer by taxi (approximate cost EUR 100.00 for a group of 1 4 persons). If you prefer the taxi please contact the International Office in time (by the end of June at the latest). Credit cards are accepted in any case. 3
