All the facilities are controlled by us and include an18 hole golf course, driving range, short game areas, indoor putting studio, purpose built gym, restaurant and 2 classrooms. To escape the English winter, we take students (at no extra cost) to play in Spain for 9 weeks, based at Bonmont Golf Club in Costa Durada near Barcelona. Live with experienced host families: Our students enjoy living with local, properly vetted, host families. Through intensive golf tuition, regular competitions at the highest Junior level plus educational studies, you will develop your vocational ambition together with a real understanding of what a golfer s life is like on the international circuit. Education options BTEC National Diploma in Sport Level 3 (Performance & Excellence) the equivalent to 2 or 3 A Levels - ideal if you plan to continue your education at a UK or European University. Gateway to the USA Many students use The Golf College as the foundation route to US Collegiate Golf. To help improve your chances of securing a US scholarship, at the end of your first summer term with us, you Autumn and summer terms: You will be at The Golf College, Lindfield Golf Club, England. Winter term: You will go to the Bonmont Golf Club in Spain, continuing your education, playing tournament golf and working on your game to get ready for the golf season in Europe. Course fees Our fees are similar to typical UK boarding school and summer school fees. Please ask us to quote for your chosen course. Typically the fees will include: BTEC and IELTS examination fees 9 weeks winter term in Spain (travel, accommodation, meals, excursions) your ability and give you a UK handicap. We provide daily golf tuition to develop your long game, short game and course skills. Plus, you will regularly benefit from: Group and 1-to-1 lessons and mentoring time with our professional golf coaches 9 sessions during your year with Ryder Cup coach, Denis Pugh, a Master PGA Professional V1 video swing analysis and Trackman data Frequent golf course and putting practice Monitored Golf Performance Programme with onsite gym and personal trainer You can choose to continue your formal education alongside your golf tuition, with options to study: English (EFL) and, if you wish, your own mother tongue to A level Formal English language studies leading to IELTS examinations (ideal for US scholarship applicants) will have the option of going to Florida for 10 days to showcase what you have learned to US colleges. Ideally they will already speak English. Course duration 2 or 3 years full-time, starting in September Studies In addition to golf you will study for either a 2 or 3 year BTEC qualification: 2 year course - BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Sport (equivalent to 2 A levels), or 3 year course - BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport (equivalent to 3 A levels). Plus you can also include optional studies, such as English lessons or IELTS. Both courses include 9 weeks warm weather training in Spain during winter terms Aim of the course For 18+ year olds taking a golfing gap year, or those who want to reduce their golf handicap, improve their English language skills and/or apply for US Collegiate Golf Course duration 1 or 2 years full-time, starting in September Studies In addition to studying golf you can also choose to include some educational studies i.e. English (IELTS optional).
