Insert the EPSON Projector Softwre for Esy Interctive Function CD-ROM into your computer. Double-click the Instll Nvi icon in the EPSON window. Follow the on-screen instructions to instll. Bsic Opertion 7 Strting Esy Interctive Tools Mke the following preprtions before strting Esy Interctive Tools. The projector's setting method nd items vries depending on the model being used. Also, models tht do not support network connection cnnot be connected to over network. For more detils, see the projector's User's Guide. Windows XP/Windows Vist/Windows 7: Select Strt - Progrms (or All Progrms) - EPSON Projector - Esy Interctive Tools Ver.X.XX. Windows 8/Windows 8.1: On the Strt screen or the App screen, click (tp) Esy Interctive Tools Ver.X.XX. OS X: From the Applictions folder, double-click Esy Interctive Tools Ver.X.XX. Esy Interctive Tools strts, nd the Home screen is displyed. When connecting computer to the projector with USB cble Connect the USB cble to the computer's USB port nd the projector's USB-B port. Set the Extended settings from the projector's Configurtion menu. When connecting computer to the projector over network Mke network settings so tht the computer cn connect to the network. Connect wireless LAN unit or LAN cble so tht the projector cn connect to the network. Set the Network settings from the projector's Configurtion menu. Instll EsyMP Network Projection or EsyMP Multi PC Projection from the EPSON Projector Softwre CD-ROM supplied with the projector. If you re connecting using EsyMP Network Projection, open the Set options screen, select the Generl settings tb, nd then select Use Interctive Pen nd Use Esy Interctive Tools. If you re connecting using EsyMP Multi PC Projection, open the Set options screen, select the Generl settings tb, nd then select Use Esy Interctive Tools. b Turn on the projector nd project imges from the computer. Strt Esy Interctive Tools on the computer. If you strt Esy Interctive Tools while plying movie, the movie plybck screen my turn blck. Restrt the ppliction softwre tht is plying the movie.

Bsic Opertion 8 Operting the Interctive Pen You cn use the interctive pen supplied with the projector to operte the Esy Interctive Tools. The functions nd shpe of the interctive pen differ depending on the model with which it ws supplied. For more detils, see the projector's User's Guide. Check tht there is bttery in the interctive pen, nd then turn it on. Press the pen tip button to the screen to select n icon. Press nd move the pen on the screen to drw. You cn use two interctive pens t the sme time. However, you cn only use one in the following situtions: - While connected to network - When using EB-465i/EB-460i/EB-455Wi/EB-450Wi/BrightLink 455Wi/BrightLink 450Wi You cn operte Esy Interctive Tools with up to six devices t the sme time, such s mouse connected to computer. For OS X, you cn operte with up to three devices. The following opertions cn only be performed by one device: - Opertions on the Home screen, Settings screen, Cmer screen, Insert imge screen, nd Select bckground screen - Adjusting nd editing shpes nd imges - Using menus - Entering text - Opertions on window displyed in Whitebord mode Attention Do not hold the nib section () of the interctive pen, or llow it to be crcked or dirty. Otherwise, the interctive pen my fil to operte. Touch Opertions On projectors tht support touch opertion, you cn use your finger to perform the sme functions s the interctive pen.

Bsic Opertion 9 When performing touch opertions, you cn lso use two fingers for multitouch opertions such s enlrging or reducing the imge. The projector recognizes up to six multi-touch points. When group of people re performing touch opertions, ll members must use the sme drwing tool. Drwing Select function from the Commnd Br nd the Drwing Toolbr. Two drwing modes Esy Interctive Tools provides two drwing modes. When you chnge the mode, the screen chnges s shown below. Annottion mode Allows you to drw on the imge currently displyed on the computer. This is useful when you need to emphsize certin points or dd notes. You cn lso drw on imges from document cmer. Whitebord mode Allows you to disply nd drw on plin screen. You cn tret the drwing re s pge, nd crete multiple pges to drw on. You cn lso sve your drwings s file nd open them gin lter. A B Commnd Br Allows you to chnge mode, sve files, control connected devices, nd mke vriety of settings. Drwing Toolbr Allows you to select the thickness nd color of the pen lines, nd select grphics or text for the drwing re. Drwing in Annottion mode This section explins how to drw on imges from computer's screen or document cmer in Annottion mode. Select Desktop nnottion on the Home screen or [ ] from the Commnd Br. Annottion mode strts nd the computer's screen is displyed.

Bsic Opertion 10 To drw on imges from document cmer, select Cmer on the Home screen, or [ ] from the Commnd Br. The imge from the document cmer is displyed on the Cmer screen. s "Cmer Screen" p.17 b Select [ c d ] on the Drwing Toolbr. Drw on the projected imge. To chnge the color nd thickness of the pen lines, select [ ] next to [ ] to disply the pen plette. Once you hve selected the color nd thickness, select [ close the pen plette. Operting mouse from the projected imge (mouse opertions) When you select [ ] from the Drwing Toolbr in Annottion mode, you cn operte the computer from the projected imge (mouse opertions). When mouse opertions is ctivted, you cn use the interctive pen to perform opertions such s click, right-click, nd drg & drop. Click: Press nd remove the pen tip from the projected imge. Right-click: Press the right button on the interctive pen, or hold the pen tip to the projected imge for few seconds nd then remove the pen tip from the imge. Drg & drop: Press the pen tip to the icon or object tht you wnt to move, drg the pen tip to where you wnt to move the object, nd then remove the pen tip from the projected imge. You cnnot use the drwing functions when performing mouse opertions. To use the drwing functions, select [ ] gin.

Bsic Opertion 11 Drwing in Whitebord mode This section explins how to drw on plin pge in Whitebord mode. In Whitebord mode, you cn dd pges from the Commnd Br, s well s disply the pge list screen where you cn perform pge opertions. Select New on the Home screen or [ ] from the Commnd Br. Whitebord mode strts, nd new pge is displyed. e When you select [ ]: All of the current drwings re ersed. From the Commnd Br you cn dd/delete, duplicte, or move pges. Displys thumbnil imges of the vilble pges. Select thumbnil imge: Chnges the displyed pge. Drg & drop thumbnil imge: Chnges the disply order. Adds nd displys new pge. To open previously sved file, select Open on the Home screen or [ ] from the Commnd Br. Duplictes the pge currently displyed. Deletes the pge currently displyed. b Select [ c d Drw on the pge. ] on the Drwing Toolbr. To chnge the color nd thickness of the pen lines, select [ ] next to [ ] to disply the pen plette. Once you hve selected the color nd thickness, select [ close the pen plette. To erse drwings, select [ ] or [ ] from the Drwing Toolbr. During window disply, opertions outside the window become computer mouse opertions. Exiting Esy Interctive Tools You cn exit Esy Interctive Tools using one of the following methods. Click [ ] from the Commnd Br.

Home Screen Functions 13 You cn perform the following functions on the Home screen. G Annottion mode strts nd the computer's Web browser strts. Other Applictions You cn register up to six shortcuts for frequently used pplictions. You cn register n ppliction by simply drgging & dropping the shortcut icon into n empty frme. To remove registered ppliction, drg & drop the icon off the Home screen. When EsyMP Network Projection or EsyMP Multi PC Projection re instlled on the computer, these pplictions re registered utomticlly. These pplictions cnnot be removed. A B C D E F Desktop nnottion Annottion mode strts nd the computer's screen is displyed. New Whitebord mode strts nd new file is displyed. Open Whitebord mode strts nd you cn open file sved previously. You cn select EIT files, or.vi files for Windows or.mov files for OS X. Recent Files Whitebord mode strts nd the most recently sved file is opened. You cn select EIT files, or.vi files for Windows or.mov files for OS X. Cmer Annottion mode strts nd the imge from the document cmer is projected. Web Browser

Commnd Br Functions 14 You cn perform the following functions from the Commnd Br. Annottion mode Whitebord mode A B C Home Screen Displys the Home screen. Sve Sves the displyed screen in JPEG, BMP, PNG, PDF, or EIT formt. All pges re sved in Whitebord mode. If you sve in PDF or EIT formt, ll pges re sved s one file. When you use full disply in Whitebord mode, use [ ] to select Sve or Sve As. You cn chnge the sve loction from the Sve Settings tb on the Settings screen. If you wnt to edit drwing gin in the future, sve it in EIT formt. s "Sve Settings tb" p.20 If you open n EIT file on nother computer tht hs different disply resolution, some prts of the drwings my not be displyed. Pge up During Annottion mode: Scrolls up in the selected document. During Whitebord mode: Moves the pge currently displyed up by one position. When the interctive pen leves the pge list, the list is utomticlly minimized to the right or left of the screen. The pge list is displyed gin when the interctive pen moves to the minimized re. If you select [ ], it chnges to [ ], nd the pge list is locked M N O P Tool Pnel Functions in plce. Select [ ] to close the pge list. New pge Adds new pge fter the pge currently displyed. Copy pge Duplictes the pge currently displyed nd dds it fter the current pge. Delete pge Deletes the pge currently displyed. Window Disply Switches the drwing screen between full disply nd window disply. The following pnel is displyed when you select [ Commnd Br. ] from the A B C D E Enlrge Are Displys n enlrged view of the imge. Drg the cursor to select the re you wnt to enlrge. Print Prints the screen currently displyed. All pges re printed when you use Whitebord mode. You cn lso select the pges you wnt to print on the print settings screen. Cpture Cptures the currently displyed screen nd copies it to the clipbord. The clipbord holds only one item t time. When displying window in Whitebord mode, ny notes drwn outside the window frme re not copied. Right click (This is only vilble during mouse opertions in Annottion mode.) A pen click functions s right-click only once, nd then returns to norml click. Help

Commnd Br Functions 16 F (This is only vilble during mouse opertions in Annottion mode.) Displys the Help. Settings Opens the Settings screen. s "Settings Screen" p.18 H Projector control Select the following buttons to control the projector. When controlling projector tht is connected to computer over network, set the network informtion for the projector on the Projector Settings tb on the Settings screen. s "Projector Settings tb" p.21 G Input Pnel Displys virtul keybord on the screen. You cn enter chrcters nd control the computer from the virtul keybord by selecting the keys. [ ]: Chnges to the imges from the device connected to the computer port. [ ]: Chnges to the imges from the device connected to the USB-A port. [ ]: Chnges to the imges from the computer connected to the USB-B port. [ ]: Puses or plys the imge being projected. [ ]: Temporrily turns off/on the imges nd udio being projected. [ ]: Increses the volume output from the projector. [ ]: Decreses the volume output from the projector. Commnd Br Functions 17 Emphsizes prt of the projected imge using spotlight effect. You cn drg the spotlight frme to chnge the emphsized re. Click [ ] to exit spotlight. You cn chnge the shpe of the spotlight from the Generl Settings tb on the Settings screen. The following functions re only vilble in Whitebord mode. K L M Select bckground Allows you to select bckground from the nine ptterns provided. You cn lso select to show still imge of your current desktop, n imge file, or n imge from the document cmer s the bckground imge. Pste Pstes dt from the clipbord to the currently displyed pge. Insert imge Select the imge you wnt to insert into the currently displyed pge. You cn select file in JPG, BMP, or PNG formt. Cmer Screen The Cmer screen is displyed when you select [ ] from the Commnd Br. The Cmer screen llows you to disply imges from document cmer connected to the computer. You cn mke djustments such s chnging the size nd brightness of the imge, nd then sve s n imge or movie file. A B C Select cmer Displys list of the document cmers connected to the computer. Select the document cmer you wnt to use to project imges in the Cmer screen. Record [ ]: Records the imge from the document cmer. The recorded imge is sved in.vi formt for Windows nd.mov formt for OS X. [ ]: Stops recording. You cn disply the Drwing Toolbr gin by selecting the Drwing Toolbr tb [ ] on the right or left side of the screen. Add Text Chnges to text entry. Select the drwing re to disply the text box. Redo Cncels n undo opertion nd restores the previous sttus. Rotte Select [ the points. ] on the Drwing Toolbr, select the object, nd then rotte Adjusting nd Editing Shpes nd Imges You cn djust nd edit figures, lines, nd inserted imges. Lrger, Smller Select [ ] on the Drwing Toolbr, select the object, nd then drg the points to enlrge or reduce. When rotting n object with your fingers, select the object, nd then touch two of the points on the object. Move your fingers in the direction you wnt to rotte to the object. When selecting figure drwn with lines, mke sure you select the solid line. You cn perform the following opertions from the sub menu by selecting [ ] on the Drwing Toolbr, selecting the object, nd then selecting When enlrging or reducing n object with your fingers, select the object, nd then touch two of the points on the object. When enlrging, move your fingers prt to seprte the two points. When reducing, move your fingers closer together. [ ]. Duplicte Copy Pste Edit Group Ungroup Cretes n object identicl to the selected object, nd plces it t the lower right of the originl object. You cn select multiple objects. Copies the selected object to the clipbord. You cn select multiple objects. Pstes the copied object. Edits the selected text. Groups multiple objects together to crete one object. Undoes the grouping performed using the Group function.

Drwing Toolbr Functions 24 Bring to Front Send to Bck Bring Forwrd Send Bckwrd Delete Chnges the overlpping order for the selected object. You cn select multiple objects. Deletes the selected object.
