Seminole County Public Schools Ranks in the TOP TIER in STUDENT PERFORMANCE SCPS is an Academically High Performing A rated school district. SCPS received the Metro Orlando EDC Industry Innovation Award for initiating programs designed to prepare graduates for careers in industries targeted by the EDC. SCPS graduation rate is 93.3%, the highest in Central Florida and the 4 th highest in the state. SCPS SAT scores are 40 points above the national average and 93 points above the state average. All high schools ranked in the top 4% nationwide by Newsweek Magazine. SCPS was recently named to the College Board s Advanced Placement Honor Roll for the second year in a row, one of only three districts nationwide to receive this honor.
Seminole County Public Schools Ranks in the TOP TIER in BUSINESS EFFICIENCY SCPS is ranked kd#1 in the state t in the percentage of its budget spent in the classroom (source Florida DOE program cost report). SCPS was ranked #1 in the state in a Return on Educational Investment (ROEI)in a national study conducted by the Center for Education Progress. 96% of the SCPS budget is spent at the school level (source: FloridaDOEprogram cost report). SCPS is ranked 60 th lowest of the 67 Florida school districts in total education funding (source: Florida DOE funding report). Financial ratings of AA by both Standard & Poor s and Fitch, and Aa2 by Moody s. SCPS currently has the 61 st lowest percentage of vacant student capacity of all 67 Florida school districts.
