Welcome to SIERS Skål International Events Registration System, your one stop site to locate and register for Skål Events locally, nationally and worldwide, enabling a simple and effective means for clubs to enhance networking opportunities for their members. SIERS is easy to setup on your smartphone, tablet, PC or Desktop and you don't need any special software or skills to register for Skål Events anywhere in the world. All that is required to access SIERS, is a connection to the internet via LAN cable, wifi or a mobile 3G or 4G network. SIERS has been designed to benefit Skålleagues to easily find Skål Events, register and confirm your attendance for any Skål Meeting at any club worldwide, which brings the World of Skål closer and encourages the ethos of amical amongst Skålleagues. The benefit for all members can only be realised when all clubs are adding their future events to SIERS. Members are encouraged to check with your club if your clubs future events are not showing. To save the SIERS icon and link onto your device, simply follow one of the instructions below; a) If you are using an iphone 4, 5 or 6, or any IOS device navigate using Safari browser to http://siers.skal.org/ and then Add to Home Screen. The Skal SIERS Icon will then appear on your phones home screen and you ll be able to access SIERS whenever you have a reliable internet connection. b) If you are using an Android smart phone, navigate to http://siers.skal.org/ and save the URL to your bookmarks/favourites. You can then copy the Skal SIERS Icon and save it to your smart phones Home Screen. The Skal SIERS Logo will then appear on your phones home screen and you ll be able to access SIERS whenever you have a reliable internet connection. c) If you are using Internet Explorer, navigate to http://siers.skal.org/ and save the URL to your favourites bar or tabs. The Skal SIERS Logo will then appear on your browsers favourites bar or tabs and you ll be able to access SIERS whenever you have a reliable internet connection. d) If you are using Google Chrome, navigate to http://siers.skal.org/ and save the URL to your bookmarks. It is recommended that if the bookmarks bar is not showing that you check this option in Chrome. The Skal SIERS Logo will then appear on your bookmarks bar and you ll be able to access SIERS whenever you have a reliable internet connection. Note that older versions of browsers on PC s, Desktops and Smart Phones may not give the results noted above. Please contact your local IT support if you need assistance. Once the URL to SIERS has been saved to your device, registering for an event is simple. Page 1
Login using your Skål Membership Number & Last Name. Make sure you tick the 'Remember Me' box that way if you just close your browser without loggin out, the next time you access SIERS you will remain logged in when accessing SIERS from that device. If you log out of SIERS, you will need to add your member # and last name the next time you would like to register for an event. As SIERS is for Skål members only, this is an added security precaution to prevent nonmembers registering for an event. You are now logged in you are ready to register for an event. Page 2
You can search for events by the Country drop down box. Click on the country and then the club you are visiting to view the events listing. Page 3
Choose an event that is Open for RSVP if you wish to register your attendance. Events can be closed for RSVP when the event is full or if the club has set a cut-off date for registrations. Please check with the club directly if an event is closed for RSVP and if space may have become available. The details of the event location, date, time, dress code, and cost in the clubs local currency for members and guests will then appear. Do note of the dress attire, cancellation policy and payment terms that maybe applicable. Note that some clubs may have online payment facilities that should be used if applicable. Page 4

When registering for an event, make sure that the sections with the * are completed. These fields are mandatory. If members or guests wish to have a vegetarian meal, then ensure that the Vegetarian box is ticked so the event organiser can arrange this with the local chef at the event venue. The email address added when registering for an event is the address where your registration confirmation email will be sent to. It is important that you click the I will be attending this meeting when registering or I will not be attending this meeting if you are declining. For each registration, members can include up to 5 guests they wish to register. Add the number of attendees, for example 1 member and 5 guests will total 6 attendees. Page 6
SIERS will calculate the total cost for members and their guest and display the cost payablein the clubs local currency. Please take note of the total payable for members and guests, so that if the club has an online payment system that you can make the correct payment for you and your guests. SIERS will also check and confirm if the total number of attendees does not equal the total of the details added of member and their guests. For example, if you add 3 as a total of attendees, but only add one guest name, SIERS will show an error, as the number of attendees will be 1 member and 1 guest. If members or their guests have a special requirement, e.g. wheel chair access, allergies, or seating preferences etc. make sure you add a short special requirement note or message to the event organiser if needed. If the special requirement is for a specific guest, please add the name. E.g. Guest Jane Doe has allergies to peanuts. The counter below the special requirements field shows how many characters have been added in the special requirements field. A total of 255 characters are allowed per registration. You can include other information that you might what to communicate to the club about you or your registration. When adding guests, make sure you add your guests title, first name, last name and if they require a vegetarian meal, so they can be welcomed on arrival and meal type confirmed. When all registration details have been added, scroll to the bottom of the registration page and click the Register button. You will then receive confirmation on the screen. If the club has an external payment system, the URL will show on the event registration confirmation. Simply click on the URL or copy the URL to your browser and proceed to process payment. An email with your event registration confirmation will be sent to the email address added when you registered. Be assured that the clubs Event organiser will also receive an email with all details of your registration, so they will be expecting you and your guests on the day. Page 7
If you wish to cancel or update an event you have registered for, click on the Your Registrations link A list of all the events you have registered for will appear, allowing you to either download a history of these for recording purposes or to edit/cancel a registration. Find your registration that you wish to update or cancel, and click the View / Update / Cancel for the registration. Note that your registration could show on another screen. The most recent registration will show on the last screen. You can navigate to the latest registration by clicking on the last number at the bottom of the list. Page 8
Once you have edited your registration, scroll to the bottom of the registration screen and save the changes. The updated details will appear on the registration page including an updated amount for payment. An email will be sent to you and the clubs event organiser confirming the changes made to the event registration. If you have already made a payment via the clubs payment system, you should access the payment system and pay the additional amount. If the cost has been reduced, please contact the clubs event organiser directly if a refund should be provided. Page 9
You can also cancel your registration to attend an event just as simply. Just click on the unfortunately I will not be attending this meeting button on the event you are cancelling attendance to and click on the Cancel registration button at the bottom of the screen. Be aware that you will also be cancelling registrations for any guests who you had invited and registered. Page 10

SIERS also uses Google Translator for those Skålleagues where English is not their first language, making SIERS a truly universal tool in today's world of Skål. Note that translations in languages other than English are based on Googles translations and not by Skål International. Skål International takes no responsibility for the accuracy of translations.
