Credit Card Processing Installation Instructions NOTE: Before using these instructions you must have a TERMINAL ID and a NAM ID number. To obtain these numbers, complete and fax the Heartland Agreement Form to RadioShack. This document can be found on Franchise Online under STORE OPs Forms. You will receive an email response that includes your TERMINAL ID and NAM ID. You should save your TERMINAL ID and NAM ID nubers in a secure location in the event that you need to repeat these instructions in the future. Once you have you TERMINAL ID and NAM ID numbers you can begin to setup your POS to accept credit cards. 1) From the Things To Do screen click Admin tools Terminal Setup. 2) In Terminal Setup click on the Card Authorization Setup tab. 3) Put in the Authorizing terminal number. It is recommended that the installation is done on the communicating terminal. 4) Then click Install LINK. 11/18/2009 1
IMPORTANT NOTE: It is recommended that installation be done on the communications terminal. 5) Put a bullet next to the Yes for each question on the LINK Install screen that applies to your system. Note: If you do not have broadband you can still connect using dial up. If you do not have a modem installed and the internet connection goes down you will not be able to process Credit Cards via the POS until your internet is back up. 6) Click the Start Install button to install Link on your terminal. 11/18/2009 2
7) The installation of LINK will take a few seconds. Then click on the OK button to complete the LINK installation. The Datawire installation will begin when you click OK screen will come up. Click on the OK button. 8) Then the Setup pop-up screen will come up with: This will install the Datawire Network Access Module Serial. Do you wish to continue? Click on Yes button to install the Datawire software. 9) From the Setup screen click the Next button to begin the install of Datawire. 10) Put a bullet in the I accept the agreement radio button. 11) Click the Next button to accept the defaults on the next few setup screens. 11/18/2009 4
12) Click on the Install and then the Finish buttons to complete the installation. 11/18/2009 5
13) After rebooting look for the Datawire icon on the desktop. Double click on the icon and you will get the blue Datawire Network Access Module splash screen, then the Datawire icon will appear in the system tray. 14) Right click on the icon in the system tray and left click on Setup. 15) Put in the following URL information into the Primary and Secondary URL windows. https://vxn1.datawire.net/sd and https://vxn.datawire.net/sd Put the NAM ID you received into the Datawire ID window. Click on the Apply button. Then click OK to exit. 16) From the RSPOS Things to Do screen click Admin tools Terminal Setup. 11/18/2009 6
17) From the Card Authorization Setup tab click the Configure LINK button. 18) From the Link Menu select Tools then Configuration Editor. 19) Select Merchant Information 11/18/2009 7
20) Type your Terminal ID you received in your email into the Term ID area and click Save. 21) Press the Esc button on the keyboard until you get back to the Link Menu. NOTE: If you do not have a dialup modem then skip to step 29 22) From the Link Menu select Phone Card Editor. 23) Select Network File Editor. 24) On your keyboard click the page down button to get the 2 nd page of the Network File Editor. 11/18/2009 8
25) Type in the correct COM port of your modem (if you have one) in the blank modem port area. 26) Press the Ctrl & Enter buttons at the same time on the keyboard to save the changes. 27) Press the Esc button on the keyboard until you completely exit out of the configuration program. 28) From the Things to do screen in the RSPOS click on Admin tools Admin setup 29) Click on the Credit Types tab. 30) Change the Authorization Method of any and all credit types you will be using the RSPOS to authorize to Link. 31) The system will ask: Do you wish to cancel the card authorization method change now and close the pervious batch? 32) The system will tell you to: Exit and restart POS on all work stations. Click OK to close out of Admin Setup. 33. Exit and restart POS on all computers running the software. 11/18/2009 10
