1 USER REGISTER MANUAL This document allows the user to know step by step, the process to register on the Virtual consulate tool for starting procedures in the consulates of Ecuador. Remember, in the web page in contact us section, you could obtain personal assistance, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in the case there is any inconvenient or for additional help. 1.1 FOREIGN CITIZEN REGISTER Google Chrome browser is strongly recommended for using the web site. 2 Then, after click on the button, it is shown a register form where the users have to complete their personal information. All fields marked with (*) are mandatory

3 The users must register all their real information as the application will validate it. If there is any wrong information, the system will not allow to continue with the register process. In the Birth Information section, the users have to fill the birth date register in their identity document.. In the Residence Information section, the users have to fill all the information required. The telephone number must have 9 characters as minimum.

4 The users have to answer correctly all the security questions, with real information. It will be useful to recover their password. If they click on change security questions, all security questions fields will go blank and the users have to fill them with the respective answers. The picture depicts two new register sections which are: General Survey We have to be sure that a real person is entering the information. In the General Survey section, is has to be filled, gender, occupation and study level. The picture depicts an example of it. In the We have to be sure that a real person is entering the information section, it has to be filled with all the characters shown without spaces, and distinguish among Capital letters, small letters and numbers. This section is important as far it is the way to know if it is a human who is entering the information or is a robot controlled by spies. If the user fills wrongly the picture characters, it will appear an error message and the user must make the respective correction in order to continue with the process. If the characters register are right, it will appear the following confirmation screen.

5 Once, the register process is completed, the users will receive a confirmation . It will contain information which allows them log-in at the system. When you open the Consulado Virtual Creación de Usuario, it will appear the following message

6 In the upper picture, it could be seen a random password granted by the system, copy and paste this password and go to the web page Please write your address which is your user name and paste the password granted by the confirmation . Finally, click on log-in as it is shown in the picture.

7 After click on log-in, it is required to change the password for a new one; it has to stick to the suggestions given as it is shown in the following picture. Finally, it will appear the screen that allows the user enter to the different procedures of the virtual consulate.
