7 Interperability The alliance certifies prducts fr Hmelug cmpliance. Devices marked with the certificatin mark will interperate with each ther. Hwever, they will nt wrk with prprietary pwerline technlgies frm anasnic r UA (aka DS2) which bth ffer similar speeds. Hmelug is participating in develping I 1901 standard tgether with many thers and particularly its cmpetitrs anasnic and UA. This leave gd chances t have an unified pwer line cmunicatin standard in the future. CCA is an assciatin wrking t define a specificatin t allw incmpatible technlgies t cexist n the same pwerline. CCA is als participating in develping I 1901 standard.

8 Security All devices cmes with a default passwrd that allws units t be cnnected t the netwrk with ut f the bx cnvenience. ach unit has a unique MAC address. T change the passwrd yu cnnect remtely t the unit via the Mac address. Multiple unit passwrds can be changed at the same time. Data n pwer lines are encrypted. Only units with the same passwrd will be able t de-encrypt the data. Mre than ne passwrd netwrk can c-exist n the same pwer line.
