2 Register for courses: access UVic registration system To access the University of Victoria s Student Registration system, click Sign in to UVic at

4 Register for courses: select Student Services menu
5 Register for courses: select Registration tab
6 Register for courses: select Add or drop classes
7 Register for courses: select Term Changes can only be made to one term at a time.
8 Register for courses: Add or Drop Classes screen
9 Register for courses: enter CRN or Class Search
10 Register for courses: option to look up courses using Class Search
11 Register for courses: optional advanced course look up using Class Search
12 Register for courses: abbreviations CRN Course Reference Number Cap Section Capacity Subj Subject Act Number of Students Registered in Crse Course Number, particular part of a subject Section studied, such as English 115 Rem Remaining Seats Available Sec Section, division of a course, e.g., Section of WL Cap Waitlist Capacity French 100 WL Act Number of Students on Waitlist Cmp Campus (M = Main UVic Area) WL Rem Remaining Waitlist Positions Available Cred Credit Hours (Units) XL Cross Listed Courses

16 Register for courses: Add to Worksheet When ready, click Add to Worksheet to view your choices before submitting. Register will attempt to register you directly into your selected classes.
17 Register for courses: Submit Add Classes Worksheet When Add Classes Worksheet is ready, click Submit Changes.
18 Register for courses: Current Schedule Successfully added courses will appear on the Current Schedule; others may remain on your worksheet and give further options or explanation of an error that has occurred.
19 Register for courses: error messages Registration error messages indicate that there is a problem with a course you have tried to add. If you believe this is an error, contact your Department or Advisor.
20 Register for courses: join a waitlist To add a course to your waitlist, change Action to Waitlisted and click Submit Changes. Review the tutorial on Maintaining your Waitlisted courses.
21 Register for courses: waitlisting options Active Waitlist Class/Sections will appear in a separate menu. These classes are monitored and updated using the Waitlisting menu option explained in detail in the Waitlisting tutorial.
22 Register for courses: add more courses You may now add additional CRN s to your schedule
23 Register for courses: how to drop a course To drop a class from your timetable, change the Action field to Web Drop
24 Register for courses: Confirm Drop Submit Changes to process the drop. View your Current Schedule after you submit to verify that you current registration is accurate and correct.
25 Register for courses: use caution when dropping Be very careful when dropping courses that may be required for other courses in your schedule. This could include labs, tutorials, pre or co-requisite courses
26 Register for courses: Change Selected Term
27 Register for courses: Change Selected Term
28 Register for courses: if the add/drop deadline has passed If you have selected the current term and the add/drop deadline has passed, you can no longer make changes online. Contact your academic adviser for more information.
29 Register for courses: looking up courses past the add/drop deadline You can look up courses for a term once the add/drop deadline has passed but will not have the option of adding these courses to your worksheet.
