1 Ordering Books Textbooks for Dual Enrollment courses should be ordered online and picked up at the Broward College Bookstore. When books are ordered, students will be ed an order number. The order number will be required for book pick up. It is recommended that students print the with the order number. Books can be ordered as part of the online registration process or students can register online and go back later and order books. Books should be ordered no later than 2 weeks prior to the start of a course On the Broward College main page, click the Login Button and choose mybc Login from the menu Enter the Broward College Student ID and Password and click Login. Make a note of your Student ID. The Student ID number will be needed later in the process (when you check out). If you have not already registered for classes use the ADD/Drop Option on the Menu Bar to register for classes. Broward County Public Schools BC Dual Enrollment Page 1 of 6

2 Once you are finished adding classes, return to the Registration Menu and click on My Schedule. Select your term from the drop down and click the select term button. Select the Get Books for This Schedule button. The button connects you to a different website, the bookstore website broward.bncollege.com. When the website loads, you may be asked a security question; you should accept/trust/positively acknowledge this message to continue. The books for your entire class schedule will display. 3 Beside each book name will be the details on the book including the price range for the purchasing the different book formats. Use the pull down menu to select the book format and purchase option. Book Formats are Print and E-Book. o Print is the preferred option. Purchase Options are Rent Used, Rent New, Buy Used, Buy New o Select Buy Used if the option is available o If not, select Buy New. In the example below, there are two options for the Elementary Statistics Book Buy Used for $157 or By New for $ When you have selected all of the books for your classes, click Add Items To Cart. 4 An Order Summary and Check Out Screen will appear. Please verify that order is correct. Please leave the option clicked to Order NEW books when used books are not available. Click Checkout An Account window will appear, To check out you must create an account. Click the Create Account button. Create your account. Please use a valid address in creating the account as the order confirmation will go to that address. After creating an account, you will be asked to enter your pick up information. Choose Pick Up at Bookstore. If you have classes/books at multiple campuses, you will have to enter information for each campus then click Continue. The Payment Option page will appear. 5 Select Financial Aid and click Continue. Enter the following information Enter your name as it appears on your Broward College Student ID, or your class schedule. Enter the name of your high school. Please do NOT abbreviate the name of your high school. Enter your Broward College Student ID No. (not your high school student number) Example: George Washington Cooper City High School G Click Continue Review your order and make sure that everything is accurate. 6 Note your Order Number(s) and Print your Confirmation Page. You will receive several s from the Broward College Bookstore. when order is received when order is processed by the Bookstore when order is ready to be picked up. Pick up the books from the Bookstore. Please take your order confirmation page or your order number with you. Returning Books All books must be returned to the Broward College Bookstore at the end of the term or when a course is dropped. The textbooks should be return to the Broward College Bookstore within two weeks of the end of the term or the date on which the course is dropped. Each term your school s Guidance Director will be notified of specific dates during which books may be returned after a term ends. Dual Enrollment textbooks are provided to students for use during the time a course is being taken. These books are loaned to students but are the property of the Broward County Public Schools. Broward County Public Schools Policies on the use and return of instructional materials apply to Dual Enrollment books. Failure to return Dual Enrollment textbooks to the Broward College Bookstore will result in an obligation on the student record. Broward County Public Schools BC Dual Enrollment Page 6 of 6
