2 Candidate s Story (& life outside of work) Andreas was born and raised in a small town in Namibia. While growing up he developed and maintained a deep interest in social media and online media. After matriculating from Westside High Andreas went straight into tertiary education. Andreas began his university education at the University of Namibia, where he pursued a Bachelors Degree in Accounting. After less than a year Andreas felt the pull of digital media again and decided the best course of action would be pursuing a degree in his area of interest. Andreas moved to South Africa where he attended the AAA School of Advertising. Here he thrived and achieved his Bachelor of Arts in Intergrated Marketing Communications. While he was studying Andreas assisted the institution s faculty with any and all tasks requiring help. While working as a Student Assistant, Andreas maintained his grades and supplemented his income. Shortly after graduating Andreas began to work at Advantage Y & R Namibia - a Loerie Award winning agency. During his time there his creative team won multiple other awards and worked on an extensive collection of client accounts. Working as an Account Executive, Andreas worked with a strong creative team to ensure all client needs and demands were met. Currently Andreas works as a Social Media Communication Manager, while he orginally did not intend on working in Social Media he has developed a set of strong skills from complaint assistance to app development. Andreas is looking to move into a more general advertising and marketing position where he can utilise his wide array of skills and abilities, from Account Management to Online Media to Branding. Andreas will thrive in a relaxed and creative environment and aims to expand his already impressive skill-set.
