1 Mount Alvernia College to install Monitor School Online Order, POS and Cash-Free Campus at La Cucina Mount Alvernia is pleased to announce a new partnership with Monitor as we install the Monitor School System in La Cucina, our college canteen. Purchases can be made online or on campus with ultimate flexibility, self-sufficiency and security. Cash Free Campus Existing Student ID cards will be securely linked to your My Monitor account to make cash-free purchases, so that a tap and go process simplifies purchases at point of sale. Students can also manage and top-up their accounts on campus using an onsite kiosk (cash and EFTPOS/debit card accepted), My Monitor online, or check the available balance with the Monitor App. There are no bank charges involved in adding funds to your My Monitor account or when making purchases using your account. Point of Sale La Cucina will benefit from faster transaction times, allowing students more chill-out time at breaks. No more waiting in long queues! Our POS links seamlessly with Online Ordering, Forward Ordering and Cash-Free Campus. My Monitor Account Access your account at your convenience via the secure online portal on any of your devices. Parents can set spend limits, notifications and dietary requirements, as well as having the ability to lock funds from the card if it is misplaced. How to Set Up your Account and Add Funds for Purchasing at La Cucina The next step is setting up your parent and student account in My Monitor. You will soon receive an from Monitor which will contain the URL of the site ( your address on record that will be used as the account user name, and a temporary password. Make sure you change this password by going into Change Your Settings. You can save this site to your favourites or there will be a link from the college website that will take you directly there. If you don t receive the , please check your junk mail just in case. Setting up your account couldn t be easier and below are outlined the steps you will go through with screenshots to familiarise you with the site.

2 1. Use your address as your user name and the temporary password issued to log in for the first time. 2. This is the My Monitor online account and will already contain the child/children you have at the school. 3. From this main page you have a number of options. Let s start by adding value to the account. These are the funds that will be available for your daughter to use to make purchases at La Cucina using their Student ID card. Click the Add Value button to begin.

3 4. Choose your amount and/or enter a different amount and click Pay. 5. You will be taken to the credit card payment gateway. Choose your card type. 6. Enter your card details and click Proceed. The payment will process and you will see a confirmation message. This payment process may take a few moments, so don t exit this page until the payment has been confirmed.

4 7. When you go back to the account page you will see the funds already available. If you have more than one daughter at the school there will be a Transfer Value button allowing you to move funds from one student to another. 8. Using the Options button you will find four tabs. Low Balance allows you to set a notification when the account drops below a specified level. Dietary Needs set controls based on items or ingredients your child cannot order based on allergies or other requirements. Spending Limits set a dollar limit on spending based on a daily, weekly or monthly level. From the main page you can view statements and see exactly how much is being spent and on what. Transfer Funds enable or disable the ability to transfer funds between accounts. If at any time you need extra assistance click Help from the main page. 5 Depositing Funds on your Daughter s Student ID Card with Cash For your convenience Mount Alvernia College has installed an account reload kiosk next to the Anthony Building lift on the ground floor. The kiosk will accept notes, coins and EFTPOS and immediately load funds to your account ready for use. Remember, in the near future cash will no longer be accepted at La Cucina. Now your account is set up and your daughter can now use her Student ID card to purchase items at La Cucina. Online Ordering (available in the near future) In the near future, you will also be able to order online food items for collection at La Cucina. We hope to have this facility available shortly. We attach instructions for you to follow once this facility is available. Monitor Online Ordering allows you and/or your daughter to have complete control over ordering meals 24 hours a day, 7 days a week up to a month in advance. You can order on any internet-enabled device and the site is mobile friendly, so is easy to use on mobile phones and tablets. Order in advance (up to 8.30am on the morning of the order) and pick up from the dedicated pre-order window at La Cucina for speedy service more time relaxing with lunch, less time in queues!
