1 While you are setting up or reviewing your web page, you may want to add a different video or photo to display on the customer facing page. For Girl Scouts setting up your web page, you will navigate to the Site Setup tab in Digital Cookie. For Parents reviewing girl posted content, you will navigate to the Parent Preview tab in Digital Cookie. Add a Video to Your Website 1. To add a video, you must first upload it to Dropbox. 2. Navigate to and log in using the user name and password provided. ID video@girlscouts.org Password samoassogood TIP: Following the naming convention for naming your video file will make it easier to find on Vimeo. The Girl Scout naming convention is <date><time><zipcode>, which will look like: Click on the Digital Cookie folder icon. 4. To upload your video, click the Upload Video icon and the Choose Files button. Navigate to your video file on your own hard drive, and then choose it to upload. Your file will display on the page when it has been upload. 5. The video will be processed by GSUSA and automatically uploaded to Vimeo, which is a video sharing website. Allow 48 to 72 hours, your video will be available on Vimeo. 1 P age
2 6. To add to your video, you need to go to Vimeo s website to copy the video link. In your browser, go to and search for your video by the file name. TIP: Adding a video or photo to your website can really personalize it. TIP: There are existing videos and photos you can choose from. TIP: A video of you talking about your cookie selling goals or the activities you plan to do with your cookie earnings can inspire customers to buy from you and increase your sales. 7. Select the video, and then click the Share icon. TIP: It is important that the video or photo you select is appropriate, because it can be seen by anyone online. Take a look at the hints found in the Photo and Video details and Unsuitable Images sections of the Safety First online e learning for additional help creating or selecting an appropriate image or video 2 P age
3 8. Copy the text in the Link field. 9. Return to the Site Setup page in Digital Cookie. 10. Scroll down to the Enhancing My Digital Cookie World section of the Site Setup tab. 11. Click in the Your Video URL field and paste your copied text. 12. Click the Display Video button to display the starting screen of the video you identified. 3 P age
4 Add a Photo to Your Website 13. Click the Upload My Photo button to display a standard Open dialog box. 14. Navigate to a suitable photo and click the Open button. The photo you selected appears on your Digital Cookie page. HINT: If the photo you have selected is grayed out, it might not be the correct file type. Ask an adult for help in making sure that the file you are selecting is the correct file type and size. 15. To add an existing video or photo, click the Select Existing Video/Photo button. A list of options displays in a separate popup window. 16. Click the video or photo you like and then click OK. The popup window closes, and the photo or video you selected appears on your Digital Cookie page. 4 P age
5 Preview Your Site As you build the site, what you see onscreen is slightly different than what the final version will look like. After you have added a video or photo to your site, you are ready to preview the site. 17. Click the Save Draft/Preview Page button to preview your site. This action does not make your site available for anyone to see other than you. Make certain the photo or video is displaying as you would like. 5 P age
6 TIP: It is important to preview your website. Previewing it lets you see it exactly as a customer would. HINT: Notice the differences between the preview and the way the site looks as you are editing it. 18. To make changes to your site, click the Edit button at the top of the window. For Girl Scouts setting up your web page, select the Submit for Approval button to notify your parent of the changes you have made so they can review and approve. For Parents reviewing girl posted content, select the Approve button to change the status of your Girl Scout s web page to Open for Business as this will allow the changes to be viewed on the customer facing page. 6 P age
