4 Information on eligibility

5 About the program: An attestation program (Attestation d Études Collégiales (A.E.C.) Encompasses the major frameworks and software architectures on the Internet today. 1,230 hours (10 months full time) 17 courses Workshop on CV writing / job search Mandatory work term (10 weeks)

7 Career opportunities: Small size and mid size business as well in larger enterprises. Graduates will typically have one of the following job titles as they start work: Web Developer Web Programmer Web Application Developer GUI Designer Web Designer.

8 Job Prospects (Montreal) According to Emploi Québec, 70% of graduates find a job within 2 months The median annual income in 2010 was $60,000 76% of jobs in this field are held by people between the ages of 25 44

9 Schedule: The program is scheduled to start on January 18, 2016 and will end on February 17, Two week Christmas Break Two week vacation (July 18 to 29, 2016) Statutory holidays Class schedule Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (1 hr. lunch break) The courses are grouped into 3 sessions

13 Work Placement (Stage) Occurs at the end of the program once all in class courses have been completed 10 week work term in industry Student is responsible to find a stage placement but college will assist Students not in a stage by the start date (November 1, 2016) will have benefits suspended by EQ until they are placed.

14 Program Pre requisites: Secondary V certificate or equivalent Basic computer knowledge (tested) Aptitude for problem solving (tested) Working knowledge of French and English

15 Application Procedures Step 1: Visit your closest to ask for approval to follow the program. 16 Application Procedures Step 2: Once you have received approval from Emploi Québec, call the Centre for Continuing Education to arrange an appointment (514)

17 Application Procedures Step 3: Testing 1. Computer Knowledge 2. Aptitude test Bring in completed application form and documents when you come to write the tests

18 Application Procedures Step 4: Interview by the admissions committee When possible, the interview will be arranged for the same day as the tests.

19 Application deadline Round 1 November 30th, 2015

20 Computer Knowledge Test Consists of multiple choice & true and false questions on: Windows, Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Database and the Internet 30 minutes is allotted

21 Aptitude (Logic) Test Consists of questions such as: Given a series of numbers, what would be the next number in the series Given a set of steps, put them in order to obtain a certain result Those with strong English and math skills should have no problems with the test 2 hours is allotted

22 Registration Fees & other costs All application, testing, registration and tuition fees are paid for by Emploi Quebec Textbooks for each course are given on loan to you for the duration of the program and must be returned Parking on campus will cost between $200 $300 for the duration of the program
