UK visa regulations: points based system for students (Tier 4)* To be able to enter the United Kingdom to study, a prospective student must pass a points based assessment and score 40 points to obtain a visa. In addition, the Home Office has implemented a process whereby students may be required to attend a face to face credibility interview. Each college will work with you to ensure that students are aware of and well prepared for this experience. Prospective students will score 30 points for a CAS Statement from an approved education provider and 10 points if they can show that they have the required finances to cover course fees and monthly living expenses for up to nine months (known as maintenance) hours * Information subject to change at any time, this guide is for reference only. Before accepting your offer, please check that you have: 1. Read and understood all terms and conditions of your enrolment and clearly understand the Tier 4 Student Visa requirements. 2. You have made the financial deposit required to receive your CAS (please note deposit required will vary based on programme level/type). 3. You have provided the required documents pertaining to financial, family and prior educational status. To apply for a Tier 4 Student Visa, prospective students will need to fill in the application form, which in most cases will be online, pay the fee and provide when requested: A valid passport or travel document A CAS statement from a licensed sponsor Documents to show they have the right finances (maintenance) available Documents used by the college when they offered them a place on the programme Documents relating to parental authorisation should the applicant be under 18 years of age. The UK Home Office will also need to record biometric details for prospective students. 24 hours Once you have received your Tier 4 Student Visa please check that you have: 1. Advised the college that you have received your visa. 2. Confirmed accommodation details and made required payment (as on-campus accommodation is in high demand, please do not delay in formally confirming your room). 3. Confirm your arrival and airport pick-up details as soon as possible) ensuring you arrive on time for Orientation and commencement of classes.

It is innovative, enterprising and business-facing with a commitment to adding value to employers, enterprise, regional and national economies. Feature courses Undergraduate pathway in Aerospace Engineering An excellent, long established reputation with the aerospace industry. The University of Hertfordshire has produced aerospace engineers with practical experience of design and development for future aerospace systems. Access to the best equipment: flight simulator, wind tunnels, specialist laboratories and CAE software. Offered a flying course at a local flying school with one-to-one instruction on both fixed wing aircraft and helicopters. The first ever passenger jet aircraft, the Comet, was designed and tested at Hatfield and this heritage for innovative design continues today as a major feature of our aerospace programmes, as shown by our active involvement in both Unmanned Air Vehicles (UAVs) and also in space tourism. We have established the UK s premier UAV competition, in conjunction with the Royal Aeronautical Society. If you are interested in gaining a private pilot s licence, you will have opportunities to gain flying experience at a local flying school. Undergraduate pathway in Law HIC offers a one semester Foundation pathway starting in June and September, leading to the university First Year of this chosen course. Now based on the modern de Havilland Campus, supported by a 10m facility in the state of the art Law Court Building, our LLB Programme complements the new two-year (accelerated) LLB programme. Successful completion of our LLB law degree will enable you to apply for the Legal Practice Course or the Bar Professional Training Course. National Student Survey results demonstrate high levels of student satisfaction with the University s LLB: in each of the last three years they have secured a score of 90 percent or greater, consistently placing them in the top quartile of Law Schools in the country.
