5 Central-European Institution of English and American Studies was established in The founding institutions being Szent István University Faculty of Applied and Professional Arts of Jászberény, Universal Skills Management Ltd. of London and Galf Business School of Budapest. Due to the excellent relationship of USM Ltd. with ATHE (Association of Tourism and Hospitality Executives), having direct link with numerous UK universities, the already extensive range of available courses is growing ever further, enabling prospective students to best adjust their dreams for their future. 6 Budapest is one of the most charismatic cities of Europe, with great history and with an amazing international student life. More than 10, 000 students came to Budapest in the last decade to learn music, medicine, engineering, and business management. Budapest, one of the most beautiful historical capitals in Europe, is situated on the banks of the Danube. The city actually consists of three cities: Óbuda, the oldest section, with Celtic and Roman ruins, Buda in hills on the western bank, famous for its historic Castle Hill and beautiful residential area, and bustling Pest with its shopping, government and commercial districts on the flat plain of the east bank.

7 Within Budapest, the campus is located in the heart of the city, in district VII within walking distance of the busy Blaha Lujza Square, which is one of the major hubs in Budapest in terms of both mass transport system and shopping malls. All the necessary amenities can be found in the immediate vicinity of the campus. The CEAS main bulidng is located near the hostel and it can comfortably accommodate 300 students in several large classrooms of university standard. The hostel building has recently been renovated to provide excellent facilities to our students. It is located in one of the most elite districts (XIV) of Budapest in a frequented place where there is a comfortable access to the public transportation system of the city. Underground Line No. 2 is within walking distance.

9 The CEAS Music Course was created to promote excellence in music education, preserve the standards of both Classical and Jazz/Rock education, set by previous generations, and give a special chance to learn the world renowned folk music of Hungary and the Balkan countries surrounding it. CEAS Music course was design to meet the needs of every student eager to learn more about music. At CEAS we teach all the instruments and in case you want to learn anything we are not offering yet, we will find you the best teacher who can take you to the next level. CEAS Music courses can be taken as Major, or a Minor, in case you wish to learn the basics of music besides your Marketing or Business studies at CEAS. CEAS has the unique position of employing the best teachers from the surrounding countries for every music instrument, or from around the world, in some special cases.

10 CEAS has created a unique financial system for its students so they can receive high standard education for the fragment of the fee of studying at any of the top UK, US Universities, while learning according to the same curriculum and enjoying the same high standards of education and infrastructure. We worked out a system in which your study costs will not be increasing, so you may plan your life at CEAS on the long run much easier. The tuition fees for all courses are as below: First academic year: EUR Second academic year: EUR Third academic year: EUR Accommodation fee: The accommodation fee can be paid in full for the academic year when registering with CEAS, or alternatively, in monthly instalments. The amount of the accommodation fee for one academic year depends on the type of room chosen: Room for 3 persons: EUR 1.490/student Room for 2 persons: EUR 1.980/student Room for 1 person: EUR 2.950/student Enrolment fee: The enrolment fee is to be paid upon arrival in Hungary, when the student registers with CEAS. Enrolment fee: EUR 500 (covers student ID card, learning material) Additional expenses: Living costs calculated for one academic year: EUR (calculated as approx. EUR 200/month for 12 months)

11 How to Apply Early application for entry to all the programmes is highly encouraged. For entry in: September 2010 (full year or first semester) - apply by 30 August 2010 February 2011 (second semester) - apply by 15 January 2011 All you have to do in order to apply for the study abroad programme is to us at applications@ceasinst.co.uk and ask for the application information pack. You can also download an application form and return this to the International Office together with the following items: certified copies of your academic transcripts a TOEFL or IELTS test score (non-native English speakers only) an academic reference a list of the classes you wish to take whilst at CEAS a list of the classes you are currently taking (for applications to the Business, Media, Music programmes only) Central-European Institution of English and American Studies reserves the right to make any changes in the names and module contents of the offered courses as well as in the fee structure specified it deems necessary due to any tendencies negatively affecting its interests or as a result of its affiliated partner institutions decision in favour of more marketable programme structures.
