5 Geemarc TLoop Powered Neckloop with Microphone This assistive listening neckloop with built-in microphone is for people who have MANUAL T-COIL (Telecoil) settings in their hearing aids. The TLOOP will not function without the T-COIL (Telecoil) turned on in the HEARING AID(S). Just slip it over your head to rest on your shoulders and listen with your hearing aid telecoils. The neckloop works with MOST (NOT GUARANTEED FOR ALL) telephones, cordless, corded, and cell phones. 30dB amplification Works with corded, cordless, and cell phones Built-in microphone External amplification control dial Quick-release separates cord for easy removal without lifting over the head 2.5mm headset jack 2.5mm telephone connector included 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter included Two AAA batteries included Approximately 1-1/4" x 2-1/2" x 3/4" Lightweight, stylish design T-Coil? (AKA: Telecoils, T-Switches) Perhaps you re not sure. If you are not sure if your hearing aids have a MANUAL T-Coil setting, please check with your Hearing Health Professional. Many times, they can be installed for a nominal fee.
6 CapTel 840 (Landline and electricity ONLY) A special telephone designed to work with the captioning service to display captions during your telephone calls. Captions are delayed. Times vary from a few seconds to upwards of a minute for long talkers. The Arizona Relay Service (AZRS) is the third party that utilizes voice recognition to change the caller s voice into text. If the AZRS is not engaged in each call, captions will NOT appear. If the service is engaged, the words of the other party will show up as quickly as the party speaks, perhaps 200+ words per minute. The process is fast, and training by the AzTEDP staff is recommended. Success on a CapTel is not assumed. There are a variety of visual, cognitive, and adaptability factors that affect a person s success.
7 The CapTel 840 (Landline and electricity ONLY) It is important to understand that there is a D E L A Y between the speaker s voice coming through the handset and when the captions come across the screen You ll take a moment to read what they said.. and will likely have to ask them to Hang on while I read what you said. HOW THE ARIZONA RELAY SERVICE WORKS All outgoing calls are automatically placed through the captioning service. Default is set to caption all calls placed. For one line users, incoming calls are only captioned if the person calling you first dials the captioning access number of A recording will tell the caller what to do. The call will take a moment to connect. Captions can be turned off so anyone in the family can use it. Screen display is adjustable. User friendly instruction manual. Two line capable. Please see for more information. The CapTel is capable has a built-in answering machine. It will record voice. If the caller has called via the service, the message left will also be captioned. It can also caption VOICE MAIL via your phone service remote access method. Captions are provided free to you. The cost of captions per minute are paid for by the Arizona Commission for the Deaf and the Hard of Hearing. IF YOU HAVE INTERNET, YOU MAY WISH TO INQUIRE ABOUT THE FREE INTERNET VERSIONS OF CAPTIONED TELEPHONES AVAILABLE THROUGH OTHER PROGRAMS. INTERNET VERSIONS DO NOT REQUIRE OTHERS TO DIAL FOR INCOMING CAPTIONS.
