1 SFO Central Office Diversity Statement f Wrk In an effrt t prvide a higher level f telecmmunicatins diversity t the Airprt Cmmissin, and its Tenants, San Francisc Airprt (SFO) is initiating a prject t rute their inbund and utbund trunks thrugh diverse Central Offices. AT&T will be installing a new OC12 SONET Ring that will replace their legacy facility ring. The service n the current facility ring riginates slely frm the AT&T Central Office in San Francisc, and is delivered t the SFO Nrth Minimum Pint f Entry (NMPOE). In the new SONET Ring cnfiguratin, AT&T vice and data services will emanate frm tw diverse Central Offices (San Brun and Clma) and will be delivered t equally gegraphically diverse Minimum Pints f Entry lcated n the SFO campus. Once the service is delivered t SFO, it will then be transprted via a SFO wned intra-campus OC48 SONET Ring t the final terminatin pint. The new ring cnfiguratin will prvide Central Office diversity, SONET Ring prtectin, and a higher level f service redundancy than exists tday. As part f this plan, a prtin f the current AT&T vice and data services terminated at SFO will need t be mved frm the legacy facility ring t the new ring. As such, SFO will be required t install new Lcal and Lng Distance trunks (DS1/PRI) with service riginating frm either AT&T s San Brun r Clma Central Office. The new trunks will replace the existing circuits whse service riginates slely frm AT&T s San Francisc Central Office. The current SFO PBX netwrk is cmprised f an Avaya S8710 Cmmunicatins Manager w/ Server Separatin. The Prcessr Ndes are lcated in gegraphically separate sites cnnected t Expansin Prt Ndes (EPN) that are installed at varius pints thrugh the airprt campus. The ndes are intercnnected via dual hmed fiber. There are tw separate trunk grups that will be affected by this recnfiguratin. Trunk Grup #30 (Cnsists f 8 PRI s) is dedicated t inbund DID s ( xxxx) and utbund lcal calling. Trunk Grup #7 (Cnsists f 4 DS1 s) is dedicated t lng distance calling. Additinally, there will be (4) new PRI s added installed as part f this prject. The ttal number f trunks will increase frm (12) t (16). In an effrt t avid interruptin f current service, a new trunk grup must be created in the Cmmunicatins Manager t accmmdate the new PRI circuits. Thrugh a prcess that is currently being develped, DID number ranges will be redirected by AT&T via diverse Central Offices t the new PRI circuits and the new trunk grup. Thus, inbund and utbund service will be migrated frm Trunk Grup #30 t the new trunk grup. The prject will call fr the new ISDN PRI/DS1 circuits t be ht cut where pssible. Where a ht cut is nt pssible, the installatin f the new circuits will be dne after-hurs. SFO will purchase (4) new TN464, and re-use existing TN464 circuit packs fr this prject. The deplyment f the circuit packs is defined in the Deplyment Overview. Additinally, t accmmdate future grwth needs, (1) new MCC carrier shelf, and (15) new Analg Circuit Packs will be installed t an existing prt netwrk cabinet. They will replace the existing (4) PRI circuits. The PRI s cmprise a new trunk grup. (previusly trunk grup #30) Re-use (2) TN464 circuit packs. Mve (2) existing TN464 t the SMPOE. Install (2) new TN464 circuit packs The purpse fr this apprach is t minimize the impact n existing service, yet still prvide the ability t test the service frm the new central ffices. (1) New AT&T DS1 circuit will be installed at OLD T1 (Avaya S8710 CM). The new circuit will replace (1) f (2) DS1 s that are currently installed. The secnd DS1 circuit f this grup will be mved t SMPOE. Bth trunks are members f Trunk Grup #7. Re-use (1) existing TN464 circuit pack Mve (1) TN464 circuit pack t SMPOE. Page 2 f 5

3 SMPOE (Avaya S8710 CM) - PN 10 (4) New AT&T ISDN PRI s circuits will be installed at SMPOE (Avaya S8710 CM). They will be added t the new trunk grup. (previusly trunk grup #30) Install (2) new TN464 circuit packs. Re-use (2) existing TN464 circuit packs mved frm Old T1. (1) New AT&T DS1 circuit will be installed at SMPOE (Avaya S8710 CM) and added t Trunk Grup #7 Re-use (1) existing TN464 circuit pack mved frm Old T1 SSR 1.03 (Avaya MCC) (2) New ISDN PRI s circuits will be installed at SSR 103 (Avaya MCC). They will replace the current PRI circuits and be added t the new trunk grup. This will be a Ht Cut. (1) New DS1 circuit will be installed. It will replace the current Lng Distance DS1 circuit and remain in Trunk Grup #7. This will be a Ht Cut (1) New carrier shelf will be installed. Avaya technicians will install shelf and place necessary anphenl cables. SFO technicians will terminate the cables t the wall field. SSR 1.05 (Avaya MCC) (2) New ISDN PRI circuits will be installed at SSR 1.05 (Avaya MCC). They will replace the current PRI circuits and will be added t the new trunk grup. This will be a Ht Cut (1) New DS1 circuit will be installed. It will replace the current Lng Distance DS1 circuit and remain in Trunk Grup #7. This will be a Ht Cut. 245 Suth Spruce SSF, CA (Avaya G3SI) (1) New ISDN PRI circuit will be installed at Spruce. It will replace the current PRI circuit. This will be a Ht Cut. Install new analg circuit packs t PN# 5 as required. Perfrm the necessary translatin changes t add the new MCC shelf and analg circuit packs t PN# 5. Prvide crdinatin supprt between the field technician and the NIC Specialist as required. Prvide after-hurs supprt as required t cmplete the prject. Prvide the necessary parts as listed in the attached qute.
