Organizers would like to ask the accompanying persons to discuss the programs at the registration office in the morning of 4 th June! WELCOME PARTY: Opening ceremony and Welcome Party will be held in the City Hall of Hódmezővásárhely on 3 rd of June. Kossuth Square is the main square of the town. With its park-like landscaping, it is a popular place for locals to relax. Located in the southern part of the square, the City Hall was built in in eclectic style to the design of Lajos Ybl. With a walk-around balcony, its 56 m tall tower offers a beautiful panoramic view of the town. Stained glass windows light the stairs playfully. From the foyer, visitors may enter the ceremony hall embellished by large paintings. OPTIONAL PROGRAM Optional visiting tour to Szeged (June 6 afternoon), combined with a party in a Fisherman s Restaurant (evening) can be ordered separately. Fare: EUR 40 Participants will visit the main attractions of Szeged such us the Votive Church, New Synagogue, Town Hall, National Theatre and the central building of the University of Szeged. In an authentic Fisherman s Restaurant participants can taste Hungarian specialities such as fish soup or pasta with cottage cheese. WORKSHOP BADGE Scientific program, coffee breaks, meals, and the optional program can only be available by wearing the workshop badge. TOUR INFORM OFFICE In the building of the hotel a tour inform office awaits visitors. Opening hours: from Monday to Thursday: 7:30-16:00, On Friday: 7:30-13:30. POSTER SESSION Similar to previous workshops, besides conventional sessions a special "poster session" will be arranged where an author of each poster may deliver a five-minute oral presentation, to give an advertisement of his/her results. Size: the poster panel is 100 cm wide and 120 cm high, (vertical orientation). Push pins to attach the poster to the display board will be provided. Staples, glue, paste or nails to attach the poster to the poster board must be avoided. Each poster board will be numbered and correspond to the poster numbers in the program. TRAVEL AND TRANSPORTATION Arrival by car From Budapest If you decide to come by car, take the motorway M5. (You can pay the toll at the petrol station.) Leave M5 at exit 159, take direction M43, Arad/47/Hódmezővásárhely/Szeged észak. Leave roundabout at the first exit, take direction 5, Szeged/E68/43/Arad/47/Hódmezővásárhely. When you reach Hódmezővásárhely guide-post, turn left to the Ady Endre street by crossing the rail track. First crossing turn left, Nagy András János street. At the 3rd street turn right, Hóvirág street. Turn right at Kodály Zoltán street, right after turn left to Hunyadi street, the next crossing is the Zrínyi street. Your destination is Zrínyi street no. 2. Coordinates: GPS N E From Szeged Take direction Hódmezővásárhely route no. 47, cross 2 roundabouts. When you reach Hódmezővásárhely, turn left to the Ady Endre street by crossing the rail track. First crossing turn left, Nagy András János street. At the 3rd street turn right, Hóvirág street. 4 Arrival by train There is a regular train service (every hour) connecting Budapest and Szeged, departing from Nyugati railway station, having a stop at Budapest Airport (Ferihegy 1). The journey time is approximately two and a half hours. For details please visit: elvira.mav-start.hu Travellers arriving to Liszt Ferenc Airport and travelling further by train can buy their train tickets in Tourinform office at Terminal 1 from to or at platform B of the railway station Budapest Airport (Ferihegy 1) from the ticket vending machine. The two platforms of the railway station are connected with Airport Terminal 1 via pedestrian footbridge, equipped with lifts above the clearway. A short pedestrian path of just 200 meters connects Budapest Airport (Ferihegy 1) railway station with Terminal 1. Railway station and Terminal 2A or 2B are connected by bus no. 200E. Bus tickets are available from ticket machine in front of the Terminal, or purchased from the driver for HUF. The train will arrive to the Nagyállomás (Main Railway station) at Szeged (This is the terminal). After your arrival to the station take another train to Hódmezővásárhely. This journey will take approximately half an hour. Arriving to Hódmezővásárhely, you can take a taxi, or by three minutes walk you will get the bus no. 1. Get off at Kossuth tér (the 4th stop, Kossuth square). On your left hand side you will see the hotel in the Zrínyi street. By air and shuttle transfer Probably the easiest and most convenient way to get to the conference is to fly to Budapest. The organizers offer you shuttle transportation service between Budapest Airport and the Workshop Venue. Before the Workshop we will ask you to provide your flight details (arrival / departure time and number of the flight) in advance to book transportation with us. If you do not provide us your flight information in advance, and just show up at the airport, we can not guarantee your transfer! On the 3 rd June there will be a meeting point at the airport. In front of the building a taxi/minibus and a colleague from Budapest will wait for workshop participants with a WEEM sign. On the 8 th June passengers would gather in front of the hotel reception and wait for the taxi driver. This information concerns also the participants who required individual transportation. The shuttle transportation would be: on 3 rd June from Liszt Ferenc Airport to the Workshop Venue at 12:00, 14:00 and 16:00. on 8 th June from the Workshop Venue to Liszt Ferenc Airport at 10:00, 12:00, 14:00 and 16:00. Fare: 50 EUR/one way. Individual transportation: you can order shuttle transportation at any time outside the given dates. Fare: 100 EUR/one way. 5 CONFIRMATION Upon receipt of your registration and payment, the congress office will send you a confirmation form that also serves as your invoice. Please show this confirmation of registration at the congress counter when picking up your congress materials. PASSPORTS AND VISAS Currently valid passport or identity card is required for foreign visitors travelling to Hungary. Although visa requirements may vary from country to country, no visa is needed from almost all European Countries. LIABILITY - INSURANCE The participants take part in all excursions at their own risk. The registration fee does not include any kind of insurance. The Organizing Committee and the Congress Office can not accept liability for personal accidents, losses or damage.
