3 What is the Child Development Training Consortium (CDTC)?

4 CDTC Services Focused on Education and Student Support ECE Student Career and Education Program This program is available to fund specific educational costs at 105 community colleges throughout California. Access to this program is available to eligible students who are pursuing careers in child care/development through the CDTC Campus Coordinator designated at each of the colleges. Eligibility: Student must be seeking or maintaining Child Development Permit, employed in California and directly benefitting children and/or families. General Priority: 1. Employees of direct-funded CDE/EESD programs, 2. Employees of any program accepting Alternative Payment vouchers, and 3. All other programs including center-based and family child care homes.

5 CDTC Services Focused on Education and Student Support Career Incentive Grant (CIG) This program reimburses eligible students the cost of their tuition, books, an other required enrollment fees. Priority Order: 1. Recipients of permit waivers issued by CDE-EESD, 2. Employed in low API areas through CDE-EESD programs, and 3. Attending 4-year colleges or universities or 4-year extension programs. Reimbursement Limits: Up to $1,500 per year for 4-year college students. All expenses must be verified with original receipts. Courses must lead to a Child Development Permit. A grade of "C" or better or "Credit" is required for each class. Deadline to Submit CIG Application: June 20, 2016.
