5 Roaming SIM now standard For those alarm signalling systems that use mobile phone technology, BT Redcare s Roaming SIM is now supplied as standard. Our Roaming SIM uses any of the UK mobile phone networks and always selects the best one available. If this network becomes unavailable, BT's Roaming SIM will automatically select the next best network available.

6 BT s trusted network All BT Redcare systems use BT s trusted network to communicate to the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). The dedicated BT Redcare network is unique to BT - no other system uses it, which means there is no risk of your customer s signal getting lost. And with no extra call costs, for communications between your alarm and the BT Redcare network, you don t have to pass any additional costs onto your customers what they see is what they get.

15 A dedicated BT phone line is needed for Redcare Classic and Redcare GSM A dedicated BT phone line is not required. Redcare Classic and Redcare GSM can work on an existing phone line or broadband (including BT Infinity) without the need for a filter. Redcare Classic and Redcare GSM are not grade 4 Redcare Classic and Redcare GSM have always provided grade 4 signalling. Alarm messages and polling are highly encrypted to EN grade 4 using BT Redcare proprietary encryption. Software and firmware anti-substitution measures to EN grade 4. Block terminals are mandatory when fitting BT Redcare A block terminal is not mandatory. Many installers choose to have a BT Redcare block terminal installed to simplify alarm installation. However, connection of the STU to the line, without using a block terminal, can be carried out by the installer. Additional charges will be made if a customer moves to a new premises This is not the case. If your customer is moving premise and taking the same telephone number with them, there will be no additional charge. A dedicated BT line is needed for Redcare Secure Redcare Secure will work on any existing phone line or broadband line, whether it s a BT line or other service provider. Redcare Secure 2 and 3 will require an ADSL filter which can be easily purchased from our Installer Shop at You can t re-use Redcare Classic and Redcare GSM STUs This is not true. You can re-use Redcare Classic and Redcare GSM STUs as maintenance spares. If your customer is moving or changing telephone lines for their BT Redcare service you can also arrange to use the existing Redcare GSM STU. Your roaming SIM is no different to your competitors Yes it is. It s different because with intelligent network selection, BT Redcare s Roaming SIM uses any of the UK mobile phone networks and always selects the best network available.
