1 President Christine Blacka called this meeting to order. ROLL CALL: Mr. Bichsel Present, Mrs. Blacka Present, Mrs. Boyd Present Mr. Foust Present, Mr. Votaw Present. The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance along with silent prayer and meditation APPROVE MINUTES It was moved by Mr. Bichsel and seconded by Mr. Votaw to approve the minutes of the March 14, 2016 Regular meeting as presented and waive the reading of said minutes APPROVE AGENDA It was moved by Mrs. Boyd and seconded by Mr. Foust to approve the agenda for April 11, FINANCIAL REPORT It was moved by Mr. Votaw and seconded by Mrs. Boyd to approve the March 2016 financial reports as presented by the Treasurer AMENDED APPROPRIATIONS It was moved by Mrs. Boyd and seconded by Mr. Foust to approve the amended appropriations as presented SUPERINTENDENT S REPORT JA Community Support Coalition Meeting - Thursday, May 12 (9:00-10:30am) Summer Trips to France & Spain Ohio Auditor of State Award for 2015 JA Staff Celebration Banquet Wednesday, May 4, 2016 School Zone Flashing Lights Update CURRICULUM REPORT 2016 Federal Grant Programming Update COMMENDATIONS Barbara Demming for being honored as a Jennings Fellow on Saturday, April 9, Last spring, Mrs. Demming was one of 100 educators selected to attend the Jennings Educators Institute during the fall. In completing the requirements to become a Jennings Fellow, she focused on music instruction at both Canaan and Monroe which included the Jennings' Foundation's ideals of excellent teaching and deep learning. Levy Steering Committee Co-Chairs, Doug and Tiffany Izzard, and Doug Schrock, for their time and advocacy efforts in support of our students. Levy Co- Treasurers, Heidi Kellett and Jerry May, for their time and dedication keeping track of records and filing all of the necessary paperwork with the Board of Elections for the renewal levy. Levy Steering Committee Member, Erin Keith, for her time leading the social media efforts for the campaign.

5 OVERNIGHT LOCK-IN AT CMS FOR MS ENRICHMENT STUDENTS It was moved by Mr. Foust and seconded by Mrs. Boyd to approve the overnight lock-in at CMS on Friday, May, 13, MCBDD REVISED SERVICE AGREEMENT It was moved by Mr. Votaw and seconded by Mrs. Blacka to approve the revised service agreement with the Madison County Board of Developmental Disabilities for the school year NEXT REGULAR BOARD MEETING MONDAY, MAY 9, EXECUTIVE SESSION It was moved by Mrs. Boyd and seconded by Mr. Foust to enter into executive session at 6:58pm to prepare for negotiations or bargaining sessions with public employees concerning their compensation or other terms and conditions of their employment.
