The Superintendent recommends and I so move the Board of Education of the Township of Green Brook approval of the Report of the Secretary, and Report of the Treasurer A-148, for the month of May and the certification of the Board Secretary pursuant to NJAC 6: d that as of today no monetary line item account has been over expended in violation of NJAC 6: (c)4 and the certification of the Board of Education that as of today s date and pursuant to NJAC 6: (c) 3 we certify that after review of the secretary s certification and upon consultation with the appropriate district officials, to the best of our knowledge, that no line item account has encumbrances and expenditures, which in total exceed the line item appropriation in violation of NJAC 6A: (a), and that sufficient funds are available to meet the district s fiscal obligations for the remainder of the fiscal year. F. The Superintendent recommends and I so move Board of Education of the Township of Green Brook approve the following resolution: BE IT RESOLVED: 1. The Green Brook Township Board of Education hereby resolves to terminate its participation in the program thereby canceling coverage provided by State Health Benefits Program for all its active and retired employees. 2. We shall notify all active employees of the date of their termination of coverage under the program. 3. We shall advise all retired employees to contact our office concerning an alternative health insurance program. 4. We shall advise all COBRA participants to contact our office concerning an alternative health insurance program. 5. We understand that this resolution shall take effect October 1, 2004.

The Superintendent recommends and I so move Board of Education of the Township of Green Brook approve the following resolution: WHEREAS, the Board of Education has evaluated the costs of the State Health Benefits Program. WHEREAS, the Board of Education believes that substantial savings may be achieved by utilizing other health insurance coverage; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: The Board of Education authorizes the Board Secretary to terminate its participation in the State Health Benefits Program Program, effective on or about October 1, 2004, provided that the Board Secretary is satisfied with the agreement for health insurance as proposed by Horizon Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Jersey and the agreement for health insurance consulting services as proposed by Fleet Insurance Services. H. The Superintendent recommends and I so move Board of Education of the Township of Green Brook rescind the resolution approving the transfer of $130,000 from Surplus to Capital Maintenance Reserve Fund. I. The Superintendent recommends and I so move Board of Education of the Township of Green Brook approval of tuition reimbursement in the amount of $2,238 for Brooke Yablonsky for completion of the following graduate courses at Kean University: Conflict Management and Resolution and Public School Administration for the school year. J. The Superintendent recommends and I so move Board of Education of the Township of Green Brook approval of tuition reimbursement in the amount of $ for Gary Schaefer for completion of the following graduate course at Montclair State University: Reflective Teaching in Physical Education for the school year. K. The Superintendent recommends and I so move Board of Education of the Township of Green Brook approval of the payment of required funds in the amount of $1,035 to the New Jersey Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired for the educational services provided during the school year. L. The Superintendent recommends and I so move Board of Education of the Township of Green Brook approval of the contract for Douglass Outreach and Green Brook School District to provide consultation to the Preschool Disabled Program, one day per month, two hours per day, at an hourly rate of $115, for the school year. M. The Superintendent recommends and I so move Board of Education of the Township of Green Brook approval of the submission of the New Jersey Child Assault Prevention Grant for the Green Brook Township School District as follows for the school year: Pre-K Grade 6: District Funding $ State Funding $890.l25

The Superintendent recommends and I so move Board of Education of the Township of Green Brook approval of a Central Auditory Processing Evaluation performed by Somerset Medical Center for student N.L. in the amount of $173 for the school year. O. The Superintendent recommends and I so move Board of Education of the Township of Green Brook approval of a Psychiatric Evaluation performed by Frances Forman, MD, for special education student number 285 in the amount of $270 for the school year. P. The Superintendent recommends and I so move Board of Education of the Township of Green Brook approval of Occupational Therapy Consultants to provide occupational therapy services for special education student number 104 attending Midland School at a fee of $66 per session (30-45 minutes) during the school year. Q. The Superintendent recommends and I so move Board of Education of the Township of Green Brook approval of Occupational Therapy Consultants to provide occupational therapy services for special education student number 104 attending Midland Extended School Year Program at a fee of $70 per session (30-45 minutes) during the school year. R. The Superintendent recommends and I so move Board of Education of the Township of Green Brook approval of Occupational Therapy Consultants to provide occupational therapy services for special education students at a fee of $71 per session (30-45 minutes) during the school year. S. The Superintendent recommends and I so move Board of Education of the Township of Green Brook approval of the acceptance of the following No Child Left Behind Grant Funds: Title I Part A Basic, $16, Concentration, Targeted & EFIG Title II Part A $10, Title II Part D $ Title III 2, Title IV $ 2, Title V $ 2, Total Allocation: $ 35, These allocation amounts are accepted as of 6/18/04. Title III funds are managed and administered by Warren Township School District. Green Brook Township School District, South Bound Brook School District, Bernards Township School District and Somerset County Vocational Technical High School are included in the consortium and are responsible for forwarding Title III funds to the Warren Township School District for the school year.

X. EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT/POLICY Discussion Item: Committee Report A. The Superintendent recommends and I so move Board of Education of the Township of Green Brook approval of the following after-school program, at no cost to the Board of Education, for the school year: Art Club, Grades 4-5, effective September 13, 2004 through December 20, B. The Superintendent recommends and I so move Board of Education of the Township of Green Brook approval of the First Reading of Regulation No Grading System for the school year. C. The Superintendent recommends and I so move Board of Education of the Township of Green Brook approval of the Tentative Fall Sports and Transportation Schedule for Boys and Girls Soccer for the school year. D. The Superintendent recommends and I so move Board of Education of the Township of Green Brook approval of the revised Five Year Curriculum Plan for the school year. E. The Superintendent recommends and I so move Board of Education of the Township of Green Brook approval for an eighth grade student C.C. to attend Algebra II Honors at Watchung Hills Regional High School during the school year. XI. PERSONNEL & NEGOTIATIONS Discussion Item: Committee Report A. The Superintendent recommends and I so move Board of Education of the Township of Green Brook approval of Christine Sheridan to serve as a special education classroom aide in the Preschool Disabled class in the IEF School effective July 1, 2004 through August 12, 2004 at an hourly rate of $13.16 for the school year. B. The Superintendent recommends and I so move Board of Education of the Township of Green Brook approval of Linda Chehade to serve as a special education classroom aide in the Preschool Disabled class in the IEF School effective July 1, 2004 through August 12, 2004 at an hourly rate of $15.25 for the school year. C. The Superintendent recommends and I so move Board of Education of the Township of Green Brook approval of Diane Abbatemarco to serve as a substitute classroom aide for the Green Brook School District summer school program at an hourly rate of $7.27 during the school year.

The Superintendent recommends and I so move Board of Education of the Township of Green Brook approval of Danielle Cooper to serve as a part-time secretary for the Business Administrator at an annual salary of $16,000 for the school year. E. The Superintendent recommends and I so move Board of Education of the Township of Green Brook approval of Ann Vinci to serve as part-time secretary for the Superintendent, at an hourly rate of $17.37, on an as-needed basis, not to exceed 18 hours per week, effective July 1, 2004 through August 17, F. The Superintendent recommends and I so move Board of Education of the Township of Green Brook approval of Claire Oswald, non-tenured certified teacher, to serve as a special education teacher in the Green Brook School District, Level BA, Step 1, at an annual salary of $39,900, for the school year. (Date of tenure: 9/1/07) G. The Superintendent recommends and I so move Board of Education of the Township of Green Brook approval of Catherine Marano, non-tenured certified teacher, to serve as a Spanish teacher in the Green Brook Middle School, Level B, Step 2, at an annual salary of $40,100, for the school year. (Date of tenure: 9/1/07) H. The Superintendent recommends and I so move Board of Education of the Township of Green Brook approval of Sabine Mehta, non-tenured certified teacher, to serve as a French teacher in the Green Brook Middle School, Level M, Step 1, at an annual salary of $42,040, for the school year. (Date of tenure: 9/1/07) I. The Superintendent recommends and I so move Board of Education of the Township of Green Brook approval to rescind the resolution approving Donna Cook as teacher in the Green Brook School District, Level M, Step 13, at an annual salary of 60,390, for the school year. J. The Superintendent recommends and I so move Board of Education of the Township of Green Brook approval to rescind the resolution approving Donna Cook as Curriculum and Staff Development Facilitator at an annual stipend of $1,600 for the school year. K. The Superintendent recommends and I so move Board of Education of the Township of Green Brook approval to rescind the resolution approving Donna Cook as Teacher-in-Charge at a rate of $60 for a full day and $30 for a half day for the school year. L. The Superintendent recommends and I so move Board of Education of the Township of Green Brook approval of Donna Cook to serve as the Assistant Principal in the Green Brook Middle School effective July 27, 2004 through June 30, 2005 at an annual salary of $80,000, prorated, for the school year.
