Isokinetic probe for particulate extraction Standard combined double element stack probe Isokinetic probe for emission pollutant sampling manufactured by Analitica Strumenti have been designed in compliance with the regulations in force. All of the parts are in AISI 316 stainless steel. The standard probe is made up of a double tube, one for extraction and one for the measurement of the isokinetic conditions in combination with the Iso- Flow 201 meter, held together solidly by a U bolt support, enabling the simultaneous transit inside of the chimney and inserted into a flame suppressor support with an 89 mm diameter. This option permits the user to substitute one of the two probe, at any moment with others with a different length. The extraction probe must be combined with a sampling kit with basket holder or membrane holder as described in the previous pages. Pitot tubes are available in standard format in three lengths: 750, 1500, 2000 mm. They are manufactured in compliance with the UNI Regulations. The Pitot tube has been integrated in a support containing the thermocouple for temperature detection and connecting to the acquisition and sampling instrumentation by way of bayonet quick connectors. The section including the fittings has been equipped with an anti-shock device to prevent breakage due to accidental falls during transport. The isokinetic probe must be completed with one of the following sampling kits: 600/APS00200, 600/APS00201, 600/PF00107A, 600/PF00107B Isokinetic Stack Probe Particulate Sampling compliant with the UNI-EN European Regulations Method with filter holder inside of the chimney The 13284KC probe has been designed and manufactured to rigorously adhere to what has been indicated in the UNI- EN Regulations. The probe is referred to in section The regulations in this paragraph indicate the positioning of the filter holder in a frontal mode to the direction of flow of the emissions from the chimney. The European Regulations specify a reference method to the measurement of particulate based on the concentration of the gaseous flows drawn in lesser concentrations than the standard conditions of 50 mg/m 3. The regulations have been validated in a particular manner at 5 mg/m 3 at an average sampling time of half an hour. These regulations have been validated for gaseous flows emitted from waste disposal incinerators. More in general they may be applied to gas emissions from stationary sources and at higher concentrations. If the gasses contain unstable, reactive or semi-volatile substances, the measurement will depend on the sampling conditions and the filter treatment. The diagram shown below has been taken integrally from the UNI-EN Regulations, and shows, in a very simplified manner, the set-up for proper sampling as follows: 1) Intake nozzle 2) Filter holder 3) Pitot Tube 4) Temperature Sensor 5) Temperature Indicator 6) Static pressure measurement 7) Static pressure measurement 8) Support pipe 9) Cooling and drying System 10) Suction unit 11) Manometer The measurements relative to the flow rate and the temperature may be acquired with the IsoFlow201 meter, inside of which the parameters of the current regulations have been entered. 10 phone wwww.analiticastrumenti.com fax info@.analiticastrumenti.com

Sampling Principle A sample flow of the gas is extracted from the main gaseous flow in representative sampling points for a measured period of time, with an isokinetically controlled flow rate and a measured volume. The particulate pulled into the gas sample are separated by a flat pre-weighed filter, which is later dried and re-weighed. Deposits upstream of the filter in the sampling system are recovered and weighed. The increase in mass of the filter and the mass deposited upstream of the filter are attributed to the particulate collected by the sampled gas, which enable the calculation of the particulate concentration. All of the parts making up the sensor may be disassembled by the user and used individually. For proper positioning or for the isokinetic parameter calculations, refer to the flow rate meter IsoFlow201 (600/IF201). The probe is supplied complete with L shaped Pitot tube with a standard constant =1 (the L shaped Pitot tube and the K sensor are supplied in the SI13284KB version) and with the K sensor for temperature detection during the sampling phase. Flame suppressor support for sensor SI13284KC The flame suppressor support for sensor differs from the classic model by having a single central fissure for sliding. The tightening of the GFR008 spacer enables the maintenance of the tube in a perfectly horizontal position with the chimney and facilitates its sliding. Once the proper positioning for sampling has been found, the bushing is tightened with the threaded wheel. phone wwww.analiticastrumenti.com fax info@.analiticastrumenti.com 11

Heated integrated isokinetic probe Manufactured in 316 stainless steel and usable in a range of temperatures up to 400 C, this application is prevalently required when the temperatures of the smoke in emission are particularly elevated and an elevated quantity of condensate could prejudice the entire sampling. The probe is made up of two concentric tubular casings, which house the extraction tube. The heating element is located in the intermediate tube sustained by two sealing disks. In this manner any contact with the sampled gas and the heating elements is avoided. In this set-up the suction tube may be easily replaced with a new one and in a different material such as glass or quartz (upon request). The maximum operational temperature is 200 C and this is managed by the Thermo- Flow200 remote unit (600/TF00200) lodged in a sealed hard case. Outside of the probe a Pitot tube may be attached together with the thermocouple, for all of the measurements of the isokinetic parameters indicated using the IsoFlow 201. The heated integrated probe is available in the length of 1500 mm. Upon request they are also available in 750 mm lengths. Attachment group 600/GFR001 Heat regulator 600/TF200 For the completion of the heated sensor check the accessories found in the application pages below and referred to the regulations currently in force. 12 phone wwww.analiticastrumenti.com fax info@.analiticastrumenti.com

Condensate collection devices and accessories The devices for the recovery and collection of condensate are indicated for almost all of the pollutant sampling applications in emission. At the container and in more detail on the cover, two holes have been made with a pair of through adapters that enable a fitting to the sampling line by way of bayonet couplings. This solution, not offering escape points, enables a constant conservation of the temperature, offering greater guarantees for the successful performance of the sampling. The container may be brought to a base temperature by way of the use of pre-wrapped slabs of ice, cold water or dry ice. Their use is indicated both for protection of the sampling system and to the possibility of analysing eventual pollutant compounds in the condensate. The device, made up of a portable thermal container, as shown in the figure below (600/VT001T) is supplied complete with internal support in anodised aluminium set up for the lodging of four gas bubblers with their respective supports. In the provision there is also anticipated a complete set of glassware including two gas bubblers, a dry trap and a silica gel trap. Other types of gas bubblers may be in any case lodged in the support, such as for example the models A, B and C indicated in the DPR 203/88. In the figure the assembly diagram for the thermal container is illustrated and in the following figure drawn from the EPA-17, method, in a simplified way, a standard sampling line is shown. phone wwww.analiticastrumenti.com fax info@.analiticastrumenti.com 13

Chimney Particulate Emission Sampling complying with EN regulations. Method with external filter and heated container. This system foresees the utilisation of a heated isokinetic sampling sensor probe complete with a filter holder located downstream of the probe and contained in a heated container. The method may be applied either with the manual system or with the automatic method conforming to the requirements indicated in the ISO-9096 regulations. For application with the manual method, the sampling may be performed once the evaluation of the duct has been completed with the dimensions indicated for a proper performance of the test. The speed measurements must be performed utilising a normalised L type Pitot tube, as described in the ISO 3966:77 regulations. Alternatively an S type Pitot tube may be used, as long as they have been calibrated as compared to standardised Pitot tubes. The temperature and the pressure in the duct must be measured so as to be able to calculate the actual mass of the gas volume within ±0,05 kglm 3, taking into account the composition of the gas as well. When the concentrations of the particulate is expressed on a dry basis and/ or when the concentrations must be expressed in relation to a reference oxygen concentration, the humidity and/ or oxygen measurements must be performed in the vicinity of the level used for the sampling. Heated sampling probe with heated external filter holder: the part of the tubing between the nozzle and the filter (suction tube) must be long enough to allow access to all of the sampling points in the conduit. The suction tube and the filter holder must have a regulated temperature, which causes the evaporation of the possible drops of water or avoids filtration difficulties relative to the acidic gasses with a high dew point. Diameters of 50 mm are generally used, with an associated flow rate of 1 m 3 /h to 10 m 3 /h. Sampling time per point is between 30 and 60 minutes. As for what regards the filtering membranes, the use of membranes containing organic binding is not recommended due to their high level of impurities. Filtering membranes that have not given particular interference are those in quartz fibre or in glass fibre covered with PTFE (Maximum temperature of application 300 C). Those in glass fibre may also be used even if sometimes they may create interference caused by compounds that react with the same glass fibres. Manual sampling may be performed with any model of the AirCube line in combination with the IsoFlow 201 Standard and Pro isokinetic parameter meter. Automatic Isokinetic sampling compliant with the ISO-9096 Standards may be performed with the AirCube COM2-Iso and AirCube HE-Iso models. Alternatively the AirCube COM2 and HE samplers may be directly interfaced with the IsoFlow 201 meter. 14 phone wwww.analiticastrumenti.com fax info@.analiticastrumenti.com

EN-14790: Sampling for the calculation of the concentration of water vapour content in chimney emissions This method anticipates the measure of the concentration of the water vapour through sampling with isokinetic probe. Both methods are taken into consideration: with filter holder inside and outside of the duct. In both cases a heated probe must be used with a temperature value of circa 120 C, in any case 20 C higher than the value of the gas dew point. A known volume of the sample is extracted from a chimney for a pre-determined time at a specific sampling flow. A filter holder placed in the sampling line has the purpose of trapping the particles of particulate that could interfere with the measurement. At the outlet, two adsorption possibilities are anticipated: 1) An adsorption unit containing silica gel 2) A condensation adsorption unit made up of two gas bubblers-condensers and an absorption unit containing silica gel The use of the single adsorbent trap consists in filling a bottle or rather a container with bayonet couplings, on the sampling line, with granular Silica Gel with colorimetric indicator. The condensation adsorption unit is made up of a line of two gas bubblers positioned in a tank near the outlet of the sensor sampling flow. The tank will be filled with dry ice to facilitate the condensation of the vapour. Downstream of the two gas bubblers an adsorption unit similar to that in the upstream position may be placed, still with the granular silica gel as indicator. The minimum sampling time is 30 minutes for a volume of about 50 litres of sample. In case the water vapour content is very low the sampling time may be extended to guarantee a greater sampling volume. In the case of sampling in conditions of vapour-saturated gas, with the presence of water droplets, consult the table for the suitable value of concentration found in the regulations. phone wwww.analiticastrumenti.com fax info@.analiticastrumenti.com 15

Hydrochloric Acid Sampling System compliant with UNI-EN 1911 Regulations This system includes a heated probe containing the glassware set necessary for the sampling of hydrochloric acid, without any metal parts coming into contact with the sampled gas. A special gas bubbler support device is positioned outside of the sensor immediately after the heated container holding the filter holder. This option eliminates the formation of condensation in the sampling line with Isokinetic Sampling The sampling equipment must be designed in a manner that reduces the time that the gas remains between the nozzle and the gas bubbler absorbers to a minimum (less than 5 seconds). The heated sensor and the intake nozzle must be manufactured pursuant to ISO 9096:1992. Nevertheless, because these parts are often manufactured in borosilicate glass, of different diameters. The lodging of the filter must be heated so as to maintain the gas temperature constant. The by-pass for the gas bubbler line for the collection of HCL is placed downstream of the filter holder outlet and must have a suction flow of between 2 and 3 litres/minute. For the main line where the flow rate will be defined by isokinetic criteria, it should have a flow rate of between 30 and 150 litres/minute (compatibly with the extraction instrumentation) relative loss of the sample. The regulations indicate two different types of sampling: one is isokinetic with flow by-pass for particulate and the other is for gas only there where there is no particulate in an aerosol form. The device may be located directly at the heated sensor complete with the heated filter holder box (600/SIR1500BB), through a series of glass fittings. The sample is then adsorbed through a series of three sealed and refrigerated gas bubblers directly in the container placed on the back part of the sensor. With a set of accessories and increasing the number of gas bubblers placed in the refrigerated tank, it is possible to use the heated sensor for the sampling of metals in emission, according to what is required by the EPA 29th and 26th methodologies and by EN Sampling Methods The sampling of hydrochloric acid may be performed with a double extraction system, one for the gas part with a standard three gas bubbler system and one for the particulate and gas part indicated in isokinetics in real time. which is difficult to work to rigid tolerances, the requirements relative to the intake edge of the nozzle may be less stringent. The temperature of the sensor must be controlled at least at 150 C and at 20 C above the gas acid dew point. The heating apparatus must be designed to reduce the not-heated area near the fitting to the filter holder lodging to a minimum. This membrane holder must contain a filtering material with a filtering efficiency greater than 99.5% for the flow rate at the actual maximum volume of the filter, so as to avoid errors in measurement due to fine chloride salts particulate which could be gathered in the gas bubbler absorbers and analysed as HCL. The most appropriate filters for this purpose are flat ones: in glass fibre or quartz Non-Isokinetic Sampling This equipment does not anticipate isokinetic sampling in real time. The filter holder must be lodged in a heated box (the extraction sensor is the same as that in the isokinetic option) is directly connected to the gas bubblers with fittings placed in output, two of which have a sintered baffle containing the adsorption solution and an empty gas bubbler without baffle. The sampling time is directly proportional to the gas concentration and to the foreseen concentration limits. On the average for an anticipated sampling in the range of concentration of between 1mg/m 3 and 10 mg/m 3 a volume of between 50 and 200 litres of air are required with a sampling time of not less than 30 minutes. For lower gas concentrations the sampling time may be extended. 16 phone wwww.analiticastrumenti.com fax info@.analiticastrumenti.com

The temperature of the sensor must be controlled at least at 150 C and at By-Pass Sampling This equipment does not anticipate isokinetic sampling in real time. The filter holder must be lodged in a heated box (the extraction sensor is the same as that in the isokinetic option) is The elements brought into being are: Antimony, Arsenic, Cadmium, Chrome, Cobalt, Copper, Magnesium, Nickel, Lead, and Thallium. The method is applicable to each of these specific elements in the concentration interval of mg/ m 3 to 0.5 mg/ m 3. This system includes a heated sensor containing the glassware set necessary for the sampling of heavy metals, without any metal parts coming into contact with the sampled gas. A special gas bubbler support device is positioned outside of the sensor immediately after the heated container holding the filter holder. This option eliminates the formation of condensation in the sampling line with relative loss of the sample. The regulations indicate two different types of sampling: the first with direct sampling including the passage of gas over both the supports in the same suction flow and a second with a by-passed flow. The device may be located directly at the heated sensor complete with the heated filter holder box (600/SIR1500BB), through a series of glass fittings. The sample is then adsorbed through a series of three sealed and refrigerated gas bubblers directly in the container placed on the back part of the sensor besides a fourth gas bubbler kept empty. The volume of the sample extracted will be considered compatibly at the instrumental detection limits for the type of instruments and the method adopted. Three types of filtering membranes may be used. Dealing with low sampling concentrations, it must be considered that the membranes have to be lacking any binder and be of high quality. Glass fibre, Quartz fibre or preferably PTFE clad glass fibre (maximum recommended temperature 300 C) Direct Isokinetic Sampling The sampling equipment must be designed in a manner that reduces the time that the gas remains between the 20 C above the gas acid dew point. 19 Mercury Sampling System compliant with UNI-EN Regulations This Method is dedicated to the sampling of discharged mercury in emissions coming from hazardous city waste incinerators. The method is applicable in the concentration interval of mg/m 3 a 0.5 mg/ m 3. This system includes a heated sensor containing the glassware set necessary for the sampling of Mercury, without any metal parts coming into contact with the sampled gas. Even if the mercury is principally present in a gaseous form, it may be also encountered in a particulate form as well as in droplets, which may be present after the wet scrubbers. Therefore isokinetic sampling is necessary so as to properly gather the particulate and droplets. Once the sampling has been performed, particulate, droplets and gaseous effluent must be sampled on the same equipment. This approach is necessary due to the delicate gas/solid/droplet partitioning of Mercury. The device may be located directly at the heated sensor complete with the heated filter holder box (600/SIR1500BB), through a series of glass fittings. The sample is then absorbed through a series of three sealed and refrigerated gas bubblers directly in the container placed on the back part of the sensor besides a fourth gas bubbler kept empty. The volume of the sample extracted will be considered compatibly at the instrumental detection limits for the type of instruments and the method adopted. Three types of filtering membranes may be used. Dealing with low sampling concentrations, it must be considered that the membranes have to be lacking any binder and be of high quality. Glass fibre, Quartz fibre or preferably PTFE clad glass fibre (maximum recommended temperature 300 C) Isokinetic By-Pass Sampling The sampling equipment must be designed in a manner that reduces the time that the gas remains between the nozzle and the gas bubbler absorbers to a minimum (less than 5 seconds). The temperature of the sensor must be controlled at least at 150 C and at 20 C above the gas acid dew point. The heating apparatus must be designed to reduce the not-heated area near the fitting to the filter holder lodging to a minimum. The direct line anticipates isokinetic sampling with the connection placed directly at the output of the filter holder. A second suction flow is placed in bypass. This equipment does not anticipate isokinetic sampling in real time. The filter holder must be lodged in a heated box (the extraction sensor is the same as that in the isokinetic option) is directly connected to the gas bubblers with fittings placed in output, two of which have a sintered baffle containing the adsorption solution and an empty gas bubbler without baffle. The sampling time is directly proportional to the gas concentration and to the instrumentation limits. In this method the direct sampling with all the adsorbent elements (Filter and impinger) is not recommended due to the high flow necessary and the elevated quantity of bubbler solution necessary. phone wwww.analiticastrumenti.com fax info@.analiticastrumenti.com 19

Dioxin, PCDD-PCDF and PCB Sampling System compliant with UNI-EN 1948:2006 Regulations The above citation is the latest revision of the version dated 1999 with the inclusion of substantial changes and updating of other evaluation elements with a version dedicated to PCBs, like Dioxin (Actually CEN-TS). In the latest version several technicalanalytical passages have been modified besides the inclusion of new regulatory standards dedicated to sampling as an evaluation of the Oxygen content (EN ) and an evaluation of the humidity content (EN-14790). The gas is isokinetically sampled in the emission conduit. The PCDD/PCDF absorbed by the particulate and present in the gaseous phase are gathered in the sampling line. The components of the collection system may be a filter, a device for the recovery of the condensate and a solid or liquid absorbent material compatible with the sampling system chosen. The regulations indicate a choice between three different sampling systems: Filter/condenser method Dilution method Cooled sensor method The most commonly applied method is the first, which foresees the insertion of a support for XAD-2 amberlyst resin or the like, or purified polyurethane foam (PUF-Skc P226131) in cascade at the condenser. Filter/Condenser Method The principle of the method is illustrated in the figure below. Different variants on this system are possible: the filter is positioned downstream of the nozzle after the heated sensor (outside of the conduit) in a specific heatable container. The filter must be maintained below 125 C, but above the dew point of the gas in the chimney. In the event that a large load of particulate dust is foreseen, a quartz wool filter or a cyclone device may be incorporated Method of Isokinetic filter/condenser sampling with by-passed flow in the sampling line before the filter, so as to avoid an overload of the same filter. Downstream, a condenser is connected to cool the gas sampled to below 20 C. A higher temperature may be used in the event that it has been demonstrated that the results obtained are equivalent. The gaseous part of the PCDD/PCDF aerosols are held back by the adsorbent solid. In a variant of this sampling system, the solid adsorbent element may be placed between the condenser and the condensate collection device. The system with the division of the flow differs in such a manner that after filtration there is a flow distributor (similar to those used for other methods of emission sampling). The main high volume current flow, so as to be compliant with the isokinetic conditions (ISO- 9096) crosses the filter. The secondary current, after the division of the flow, corresponds to the device with the condensation and adsorbent unit described previously. The sampling must be performed according to the dictates and the positioning indicated in the EN Regulations. Sampling time is anticipated for a time Method of Isokinetic filter/condenser sampling 20 phone wwww.analiticastrumenti.com fax info@.analiticastrumenti.com

interval of between 6 and 8 hours. The regulations refer to a sampling time of 6 hours. This sampling system has been validated for flow rate volumes of between 0.5 m 3 /h and 0.7 m 3 /h (secondary current) and between 3 m 3 /h and 5 m3/h (main current). For the device with the previously purified XAD-2 resin a quantity of circa 30g has been indicated. Regulate the gaseous flow rate of the main sample so that it is isokinetic. Regulate the bypassed flow to maintain the ratio between the derived flow and the main flow (±10%), making sure that the speed in the XAD-2 cartridge is not greater than 34 cm/s. Marking of the filtration device: Mark the filter dividing the µl portions at 30 µl of solution of sampling reference on different points of the filter. Keep the filter in a vertical position for a brief period until the solvent has evaporated. The filter may be used for sampling only 2 hours after the reference marks have been applied. The marked filter may be kept for several days. Beyond that, the XAD-2 adsorbent may also be marked, or alternatively the filter may be marked. If during sampling it is necessary to substitute the marked filter, the new one must be marked in the same manner. This last option is to be considered in the final calculation phase. 120 C. Along the sensor a type-k thermocouple, to check the gas temperature in the conduit, and a type-s Pitot tube, Method with filter/condenser: solid adsorbent option upstream of the condensate collector to measure the flow rate of the gas in the conduit, are mounted. After the condensate collector, the gas is aspirated by a pump through a drying line filled with silica gel, a gas meter and a flat orifice flow-measuring device. The sampling system is constructed on the base of the flow rate of from about 5 litres/minute to 25 litres/minute. All of the parts of the sampling line not in contact with sample are connected with flexible rubber hoses. Filter/Condenser Method Option with solid adsorbent upstream of the condensate collector. The gas from the conduit enters into the sampling line through the heated sensor equipped with a core and parts in contact with the sample in glass. The filter holder is contained in an electrically heated box placed downstream of the sensor. This is followed by a water-cooled serpentine condenser and a cartridge also cooled with water and filled with XAD-2 resin. The condensate and the gas pass through the resin and pass into a round-bottomed flask in which the condensate is collected. The temperature of the gas in the sensor and the filter is regulated between the dew point of the gas in the conduit and phone wwww.analiticastrumenti.com fax info@.analiticastrumenti.com 21

Summary of regulations for chimney emission pollutant sampling Recently many changes have characterised the panorama of regulations to be used with the different sampling methodologies applied to them. Many of these have been assimilated in the Legislative Decree 152/2006 besides the other regulations already present and in force in previous publications. Here below we itemise, as a reminder, the list of those currently in force and applicable to the materials we manufacture and sell. Analitica Strumenti srl is capable of supplying application support besides the instrumentation necessary dedicated to sampling with all of the accessories needed. 24 Preselector for PM10 and PM2.5 fine particles impactors PM10 For sampling of fine particulate in emission, Analitica Strumenti has introduced two new preselectors to be used in combination with the isokinetic kits. The realisation of both preselectors came about in full compliance with what is indicated as characteristics and dimensions in the method EPA 201/A. This method foresees the possibility of performing the sampling both in the manual version as well as in the isokinetic automatic version. The theory of cyclonic fractionators indicates the separation of the particles Interchangeable nozzles (only for PM10) ) sampled based upon their aerodynamic diameter, automatically rejecting those that are larger through a specific route and allowing the smaller to be deposited on a filtering membrane. These are practically the same operational principal of the cyclones and the fractionators used in the investigations on industrial hygiene and in external air quality control. The PM10 preselector equipped with Viton o-rings, is manufactured entirely of 316 stainless steel, and is capable of withstanding temperatures up to 300 C. The set is supplied complete with a hard carrying case, spanner and a complete line of spare gaskets. The supply also does not include the nozzles, which are coded separately. If you already have an isokinetic kit by Analitica Strumenti with interchangeable nozzles, you may use these on the PM10 preselector with no problem. PM2.5 The operational principle of the PM2.5 particulate preselector is altogether similar to that for the PM10, obviously changing the structure of the cyclone. As for the PM10, the manufacture of the PM2.5 rigorously followed all that is indicated in the EPA 201/A method. Its use is foreseen in PM10 fractionator cascade, facilitating in this manner the separation of the smaller particles and avoiding interference of those having a larger aerodynamic diameter. The PM2.5 preselector equipped with Viton o-rings, is manufactured entirely of 316 stainless steel, and is capable of withstanding temperatures up to 300 C. The set is supplied complete with a hard carrying case, spanner and a complete line of spare gaskets. 24 phone wwww.analiticastrumenti.com fax info@.analiticastrumenti.com

CI-700 cascade impactor for chimney emissions Manufactured in stainless steel 7 different impact stages for 8 particle fractions collected Pre-selection Cyclone to prevent overload on the first impact layer Applicable also in cases of sampling with vapour saturated emissions The operational principle for the Cl-700 preselector is that of the classic multistage cascade impactor. It may be connected directly to the upper part of the filter holder device. on steel foil capable of guaranteeing high accuracy in the weighing and greatly reducing the handling preparation of the impactor before the sampling. The stability of the sampling is given by a pre-selection cyclone device (Pra-K) located at the ingress of the impactor eliminating particle rebound problems thus avoiding the overloading of the first impact stage. The preselector enables the sampling The Cl-700 cascade impactor is used to measure the distribution of the particulate in chimney emissions. The Cl-700 is made up of seven impact plates capable of separating the grit size fractions between 0.2µ and 17µ in aerodynamic diameter, solid or liquid, in eight different classifications, which may be used for chemical or gravimetric analyses. Inside disposable impact plates are used with a proper slope angle besides facilitating the introduction of the impactor in the conduit. The pre-selection kit includes 6 intake nozzles and fittings. The pre-selection device may also be fitted on other inertial impactors.
