17 College Admission Complete the Admission Application Leave no blanks! proofread 2. Request an official transcript to be sent to the Admission Office Fill out a Transcript Request Form in the Guidance Office 3. Have ACT or SAT scores sent to the Admission Office Make sure most recent scores are on transcript 4. Upon graduation or completion of the current semester, have a final transcript sent to the Admission Office.

21 Types of Financial Aid FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) Grants: Money awarded based on financial need that is not repaid Loans: Money awarded to students that is paid back Federal Work Study: Part-time employment on campus or in community service programs Scholarships: Awards of cash or tuition that do not have to be repaid. Based on academic performance, competition, skill, or financial need.

24 AIMS Scholarship Full tuition waiver renewable each year Must complete 16 Core Competency Courses: 4 English, 4 Math, 3 Lab Science, 2 Social Studies, 2 Foreign Language, 1 Fine Art AND Must receive a B or better in each course AND GPA 3.5 in core competency courses AND EXCEED on all 3 AIMS tests OR exceed 2 AIMS tests and receive a score of 3 on 2 AP tests Must have exceeded junior year

25 Scholarship Scams It s probably a scam if: you have to pay money to get scholarship money it sounds too good to be true, it probably is it s guaranteed you are suspicious
