18 Applying to College Know and meet deadlines!!!! There is NO: late work, second chance, having your parents call to excuse late applications, or dog ate your application. In short, NO EXCUSES. Welcome to adulthood.

19 Applying to College Complete Testing requirements SAT Reasoning Test for all four-year schools (not required for two-year colleges) Math, Reading, Writing December 5 th is the last SAT date for this calendar year Fee waivers available SAT Subject Tests (for some four-year colleges) Send your scores to the schools to which you will be applying.org

22 Applying to College Complete on-line (preferred) or paper form Application (with application fee); fee waivers may be available In-state tuition form Essay/Personal Statement (if required) Teacher Recommendations (if required) give teacher at least 2-3 weeks notice, envelope and postage.

23 Transcripts Official Transcript requests MUST be made three weeks before the application deadline using pink form Complete transcript request form (one for each school) and submit to guidance, postage ($1.00), indicate if a Secondary School Report is required and any other special instructions. First semester grades will automatically be sent to the colleges where you have applied (some colleges require the student to send mid-year grades) JHHS Guidance Office cannot submit transcripts/recommendations/secondary school reports electronically at this time

26 Transcripts Since we use snail mail, the college might not show that they have received the transcript even after I have sent it.
