Unlike a lot of college courses (which require you to attend classes on a full-time basis), with an MA programme most of your learning will take place in the workplace - so you can look forward to lots of hands on practical training and earning while you learn! 10 ACCESS Access courses provide learners with the opportunity to find out what the college has to offer and build self confidence, core skills and employability skills. These courses allow learners to experience a range of academic and vocational tasters and offer progression to further studies within the college. THESE COURSES ALLOW LEARNERS TO EXPERIENCE A RANGE OF ACADEMIC AND VOCATIONAL TASTERS ACCESS TO HIGHER EDUCATION Courses within this subject area are designed for adults with substantial life experience who wish to return to study. The aim of this course is to prepare learners for articulation routes in further and higher education. 11 ARCHITECTURAL CAD & TECHNOLOGY The courses within this section relate to the design of buildings. Our Computer Aided Design courses cover topics such as computer graphics, drawing office practice and 3D CAD with our higher level courses providing skills specific to architectural and building projects. Careers are available in the fields of Architecture, Quantity or Building Surveying, Civil and Construction Management. Architectural has emerged from the practice of architecture and building engineering. It was created as new technologies generated new design and construction methods and is related to different elements of a building and their interactions. This course can lead to careers in higher technician posts in the field of architecture. 13 COMMUNICATION & MEDIA The Media and Communication industry covers a broad range of areas, including radio and television, journalism, advertising, public relations and marketing. Our courses provide learners with the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge across the communication industries and gain an appreciation of how technology is used in the world of media and communication, as well as developing an insight into this hugely influential sector.
