Recent redecoration in this area implies that this has been dealt with recently and it is not clear whether this has been fully resolved however there does not appear to be any heavy staining except for around the plaster coving of the chimney. There are two open fireplaces to the two chimney stacks. The cast iron fire grate marble surrounds. The east end fireplace has been blocked over with hardboard. Walls have surface mounted trunking and pinboards. Plasterwork with paint finishes, some damage to water penetrated plaster. These surfaces are uneven and may be vulnerable to delamination. There is evident that some walls have been removed in this area. This ceiling should be tested for delamination defects.
