4 Asia Construction Market Overview Asian construction market is set to be one of the busiest on the planet. Asia has maintained growth, albeit at lower levels than in previous years, while Western economies have slowed. Asia is the largest regional construction market worldwide, accounting for some 40% of global construction spending Asia s construction market offers excellent prospects for growth and printability over the short-, medium-, and long-term.

5 CLMV Economic Overview & Market Information The CLMV countries (Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar and Viet Nam) are projected to grow at a robust pace over the medium term, led by Lao PDR at 7.7% per annum. Real GDP growth underscoring the significant improvement in CLMV countries investment appeal as they open up to foreign investment. Transport Network (Hub) Development - CLMV have an excellent geographical advantage CLMV face both the Pacific and Indian Oceans and are adjacent to fast-growing Asian countries such as China, India, and Thailand. To fully exploit this geographical advantage, CLMV need to develop a good logistic network that links major cities and ports in the abovementioned countries and CLMV. A transport hub attracts firms, and this encourages the development of transport services around the hub, which makes the hub more attractive.

6 Thailand Economics Overview EIC (Economic Intelligence Center) expects Thai economy to grow 4.8% in 2015 and started to stabilize as expected in the 3 rd quarter. Private investment and accelerated disbursements of government spending will drive the economy in the last quarter of 2014 and The plan to improve investment budget disbursement s efficiency to reach 87% of total investment budget, from only 65% in The 2.4 trillion Baht projects to invest infrastructure, of which, approximately 55 billion baht will flows into the economy in Business sentiment improves following more political stability and clearer government plans The tourism industry has started to recover along with international tourists confidence in Thailand s situation that continues to improve. 9 Transportation Systems 2.4 Trillion Baht transport infrastructure investment plan. The government aims for infrastructure investment to become the main driver of the economy in 2015 and to help prepare the country for the AEC era. The investment will be divided into three phases. The 1 st phase will be carried out in 2015, with investment valued at 55 Billion Baht. The 2 nd phase will be carried out from and the 3 rd phase will be carried out from The phase will have the greatest investment value, at 500 Billion Baht. The transport infrastructure investment is an eightyear infrastructure scheme to be carried out between fiscal years 2015 and The scheme comprises five key projects: Development of an inter-city rail network Development of public transportation in Bangkok and its vicinity Improvement of the highway network to link important local production hubs with markets in neighboring countries Development of a water transport network.
