IOSH Managing Safely for Healthcare Professionals Four Day Course Managing Safely provides delegates with an understanding of health and safety requirements relating to their work activities. It highlights organisational and human factors on safety at work and focuses on a range of risk control measures essential to an organisations activities. This course will help to develop an approach to safe working, using tried and tested health and safety management systems such as HSG65. 4 2013 Short Open Courses Health & Safety Short Courses Oxy-Fuel Gas Safe Use, Handling & Storage One Day Course (9.30am-4.30pm) This course meets the requirements of the BCGA (British Compressed Gases Association), ACOP Current Codes of Practice plus all relevant Health & Safety Legislation. This one day course involves the first part a technical lecture lasting two and a half to three hours, including a ten minute video. The afternoon session covers the safe practice and use of the equipment with lots of practical exercises and individual delegate assessment. 16 April 2 July 5 November Cost: 1st Delegate 225, Each Extra Delegate 175 (+ Legionella Awareness This half day awareness course has been developed as an introduction to the issues that surround Legionelle and Legionnaires disease, the history of the organism, current UK legislation and good practice procedures. 15 April 28 June 2 December Cost: 1st Delegate 95, Each Extra Delegate 75 (+ Safe Working at Heights with Ladders & Step Ladders One Half Day (9.30am-12.30pm) This aim of this half day course is to provide delegates with the practical instruction on pre- inspection and the safe use of ladders in the workplace and covers current UK legislation and good practice procedures. 18 March 24 June 18 November Fire Warden/Marshal One Half Day (9.30pm-12.30pm) This 3 hour Fire Marshal Fire Safety training course fully meets the Fire Precautions Act (1971) and the Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulations 1999 and covers new fire legislation in force from 1st October 06 - The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order.
