1 WEB CLIENT - VERSION 160 UPGRADE We will be performing a required annual upgrade to the ONB Express Deposit product, offering the latest features and security enhancements available on November 6, 2016 In order to make this upgrade, Express Deposit will be unavailable from 6pm CT on Saturday, November 5, 2016 until 6am CT on Sunday, November 6, 2016 All required system upgrades will need to be made on your system(s) prior to November 5, 2016 Action Required for Web Client Version 160 Upgrade Internet Explorer Internet Explorer 9 or higher is required to use ONB Express Deposit If using a version prior, you must upgrade Internet Explorer to version 9 or higher prior to November 5, 2016 Consult your IT or visit Microsoft s Download center ( to obtain a newer version of Internet Explorer To determine your current version of Internet Explorer, simply follow these few simple steps Open any Internet Explorer window, and press your Alt & X keys for the Tools menu Select About Internet Explorer, and it will display your current version Important: Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 and higher are not compatible with Windows XP 1

2 Upgrade Current Scanner Driver In order to prevent potential disruption of service, the upgrade of scanner drivers should be completed on each workstation for ONB Express Deposit prior to November 5, 2016 (must be completed by December 4, 2016) To upgrade the scanner driver, the user must have Windows administrative rights on the workstation NOTE: If you have updated your scanner driver since September 8, 2016, you will not need to complete steps 1 8 Use the following steps below to uninstall your current scanner driver and install the upgraded driver: 1 Pre-Installation Step Change your User Account Control Settings to Never Notify Note: Remember this current setting, so it can be returned to this state after the upgrade a To access the UAC settings in Windows 7, 8, 81 or 10, simply press your Windows key on your keyboard and type UAC (These instructions include screenshots from Microsoft Windows 10 If you are using Windows 7 or 8, the screens are very similar in both look and method For Instructions for Vista, skip to step d below) From there, you should see a control panel option that says Change User Account Control settings When it appears, click it and proceed to the next step b Now you should be in the User Account Control Settings screen Make note of where it is set currently, in order to return it to this setting when completed Simply click the slider and drag it down to the bottom to where it says Never notify Click OK to save the settings which will display a final UAC prompt that changes are being made to the system 2

3 c You may need to reboot the computer for these settings to apply permanently After rebooting, you will no longer see the UAC prompt which will allow you to perform certain installation tasks without prompts d Windows Vista uses a slightly different method to disable UAC on the operating system Under your Start Menu, open the Control Panel Then with your Control Panel open, type UAC in the search box Look for an option that offers a link that says Turn User Account Control (UAC) on or off Click that option e On the following screen, uncheck the option Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer then click OK Accept any confirmation dialogs that appear after clicking OK f You may need to reboot the computer for these settings to apply permanently After rebooting, you will no longer see the UAC prompt which will allow you to perform certain installation tasks without prompts g UNPLUG THE USB CORD from your scanner that connects it to your PC 2 Navigate to The ONB Express Deposit Landing page appears 3

4 3 Hover over Scanner Drivers to view the drop-down menu View or Print the Install & Upgrade Instructions 4 Click the Scanner Installation Assistant to begin the process of removing your current driver and installing the latest driver 5 Follow the steps outlined in the Scanner Installation Assistant Guide 6 PLUG IN THE USB CORD to your scanner that connects it to your PC 7 Proceed to your Web Client Login Page and login 8 IMPORTANT: Return the User Account Control setting back to its original state (see step 1) 4

5 PDF Viewer Required We recommend that Adobe Acrobat Reader be used for viewing the PDF reports for this product If you go to your Start Button, select Control Panel, then Programs and Features, and do not see Adobe Acrobat installed, you can install it by simply going to following link which will bring up the following page Uncheck the unwanted optional offers in the center section, then proceed by clicking on the Install now button Note: Please be aware that if the scanner driver is not upgraded by November 6, 2016, you will be prompted to upgrade the driver each time you initiate a capture, until the driver has been upgraded (screenshots below) If the scanner driver has not been upgraded by December 4, 2016, you may experience a disruption in service The following are examples of the screens you will see, between November 6, 2016 and December 4, 2016, each time you attempt to initiate a deposit scan 5

7 Enter your address If there isn t an address associated with your user id, the Express Deposit Web Client will navigate you to this new My Profile tab, the first time you log in NOTE: It may appear that you need to change your password, but it is optional unless your password has expired Java client update A new Java component was introduced in this version of ONB Express Deposit Web Client When a user clicks proceed to capture a deposit they may be prompted that their Java client version is out dated Express Deposit does not require you to update the version of Java 7

8 New Features and Enhancements The features and enhancements below are immediately available with the release of Express Deposit 160 Internet Explorer Support Express Deposit is now certified to be compatible with Internet Explorer 10 and 11 Windows Operating System Windows 10 is now supported User Profile Tab Express Deposit Web Client now offers a User Profile tab enabling users to manage their password, address, and phone numbers Virtual Payee Endorsement Support for Deposit-level Custom Fields Express Deposit supports the inclusion of deposit-level custom fields as part of the virtual payee endorsement Account List Re-Ordering Express Deposit now support the ability to list accounts in a specific order during account selection when creating a deposit Report Footer Content The date, time, and name of the user who generated a report are now displayed within the footer of all Express Deposit reports Password Security Enhancement An address is required for all users to allow for notifications on password reset or changed passwords When a new user is created or a password reset the system automatically generates a password, manual password entry is no longer permitted Users will then be notified with an notification with the password information This is a sample of the notification: 8

9 Does Not Allow Concurrent Logins for the Same User Express Deposit has been updated to conform to the secure development practices to not allow concurrent logins for the same user Users Can Register Their Own Scanner Express Deposit users that have the ability to capture now have the ability to register their own scanner and do not require a user with the Supervisor role to register for them Web Reports Use PDF Viewer Express Deposit now uses a PDF Viewer to view all reports to maintain consistency across all supported browsers Users to Search on Tran Code Express Deposit now allows users to use Tran Code as search criteria in Deposit History 9
