Set close to the city center and only 20 minutes drive from Wrocław s airport ULS offers students studies in modern buildings with convenient access not only to the city s main attractions but also to the rest of Europe. Situated between Prague, Warsaw and Berlin Wrocław boats a developed transportation infrastructure that connect the metropolis with the whole of the continent and beyond. Presently about 7000 students participate in full-time, evening, part-time, post-graduate and PhD studies at ULS. Four faculties of the University are: Faculty of Educational Sciences, Faculty of Social Sciences and Communication, Faculty of Technical Sciences, Branch Faculty of Educational Sciences in Kłodzko. At present ULS employs almost 200 teachers and scholars. Two faculties of University: Faculty of Educational Sciences and Faculty of Social Sciences and Communication have the right to confer doctor s degree. Moreover the Faculty of Educational Sciences has the right to confer a habilitated doctor s degree. 2 3D Animation & Visual Effects Bachelo (1st cycle) 3D Animation & Visual Effects the programme is implemented within The Digital Masters School of 3D Animation and Visual Effects acting since 2011 the. The school has been founded in close co-operation with covering 3D Animation and film post-production. The programme is devoted to three steps of a process of movie production: pre-production, production and post-production. The curriculum includes full range detailed courses like: 3D modelling, character animation, particles effects, matte painting or motion design. In the content students can find also courses in the fields of: 3D Animation for the Web as well as animation for visualization. Legalized and apostilled certificate of Secondary School / High School translated into Polish by a sworn translator - which allows the candidate to study in the country in which it was issued and which is approved as a Polish Secondary School Certificate equivalent. It must be done in accordance with regulations regarding foreign school certificate nostrification - or approved, by international agreement, as a Polish Secondary School Certificate equivalent, or as a document qualifying the candidate to enroll onto university programmes in the Republic of Poland. Candidates must provide: the documents acknowledging the candidate s eligibility to study in the Republic of Poland, i.e. a visa, a Polish Card, residence permit or another document substantiating the candidate s stay in Poland. 3 Cultural Animation and Museum Studies Bachelo (1st cycle) Cultural Animation and Museum Studies are addressed to students who wish to pursue studies and work in the broadly understood area of cultural animation and education with particular consideration of museum studies and education. The graduate of this specialization is prepared for work in cultural and non-school based education institutions, which design their activities for all recipients and participants age groups (museums, community centers, centers for cultural activities, common universities, universities of the third age, culture disseminating organizations, associations and non-governmental organizations etc.). The competencies acquired by graduates enable creative usage of contemporary media (Internet) for dissemination, promotion and animation of actions in the area of widely understood culture as well as initiation of independent actions in the economic reality. 4 Interactive Media & Computer Mediated Communication Bachelo (1st cycle) Interactive Media & Computer Mediated Communication it is a unique programme containing necessary knowledge from the area of computer interactive design, social media, internet and mobile technology. The curriculum offers many courses that shape skills useful in web design and help in the development in the field of graphics and usability. It is addressed to the students who are interested in digital media and computer mediated communication. The program is devoted to both theoretical and practical issues connected with Internet and multimedia study and design. Courses connected with flash design and streaming media are also proposed within the programme. These group of competences is tied with the area of computer mediated communication as the business and marketing tool. 5 Culture and Education Maste (2nd cycle) 4 semesters 120 Master-degree program: Culture and Education is designed for students interested in exploring cultural aspects of educational and learning processes and their functioning in social, institutional and organizational contexts. The interdisciplinary program draws on the fields of cultural anthropology, education and cultural studies, and helps students learn skills and competencies which help them in the completion of research assignments and independent cultural and social projects.
