In the past years, NCU was classified among five best universities in the country. not only offers most common courses such as Law or Economics, but also humanistic courses (e. g. Sociology, Philosophy), medical (6-year MD Program) and technical courses (e.g. Automatics and Robotics, Informatics). Wide range of courses at Fine Arts Faculty is very impressive (e.g. Graphics, Sculpture, Painting). NCU is one of the four universities and colleges in Poland, which teaches in the field of conservation and restoration of art pieces. In addition, NCU is the only university in Poland, which has the most modern and best equipped radio astronomy observatory. Accommodation Campuses. There are two university campuses in Toruń: the Center Campus and the Bielany Campus. The University currently owns 11 student dormitories with accommodation for more than 3,300 students. Specially adapted apartments are available for students with disabilities. Free Internet access is provided in all student dormitories. Students life. Taking into consideration a wide range of clubs and pubs, Toruń is definitely not a place where you could get bored. Each person will find a place, that would meet his or her expectations. Campus in Bydgoszcz also has a lot to offer. Music lovers can join the Collegium Medicum Choir, those with the passion for science can become members of the Students Scientific Society or Young Pharmacy organization, medical students can work as volunteers in developing countries through the Medici Homini Project and future doctors can work for a good cause through the International Federation of Medical Students Associations Poland. People keen on physical activity will find their place in various sections of the Academic Sports Association. Other students are invited to use their talents in the ACME drama group. Good to know. 3 MA Business Administration Master of Arts Business Administration is designed primarily for these who want to be on a headship position in an organization, but also for these who just want to be excellent in any business affair, in any management function or sphere. Graduated in Business Administration, due to universal management knowledge they achieve, are able to see and understand the whole complexity of organisation as a system of different functions. After series of lectures, workshops and tutorials they develop their leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, gain practical knowledge about creation of competitive and marketing strategies of organisation, learn how to create an effective team and how to make financial analysis or measure business performance. 4 MSc Chemistry of Advanced Materials Master of Science Chemistry of Advanced Materials contains subjects related to properties, synthesis and characterisation of advanced organic as well as inorganic materials. The major points during the lectures are related to the synthesis, composition, structure and characterisation of advanced materials including also nanomaterials (carbon nanotubes, MOFs), polymers, pharmaceutical and cosmetic materials, thin layers, films, suspensions, hydrogels, emulsions, coordination compounds, polymers and membranes. The lectures are accompanied by laboratory courses where students obtain practical knowledge of preparation characterisation and properties of advanced materials. Especially thin layers and films, templated carbon nanomaterials, selected polymers, membranes, and pharmaceutical materials are studied. Students will acquire or enhance theirs knowledge of the application of new methods of materials characterisation for example SEM, AFM, HRTEM, IR etc. Also the aspects of practical application of advanced materials as membranes, catalysts nanomaterials and adsorbents is discussed. 5 MA Tourism and Sport Management Master of Arts Tourism and Sport Management is designed primarily for these who want to work on a headship position in any tourist or sport business, but also for these who just want to be excellent in any management function or sphere related to tourism and sport. The studies program provides students with specific competencies for the tourism business in a practiceoriented and holistic approach. It takes into account the fact that the prosperous tourism and sport sector is recruiting more and more managers with a recognized academic qualification. Graduated in Tourism and Sport Management, due to universal management knowledge they achieve, are able to see and understand the whole complexity of any tourism or sport business as a system of different functions. Moreover, the program delivers key competencies required in the tourism business in the field of making financial analysis, measuring business performance and building an effective employees team.
