Before installation This chapter describes the settings required for running the application. 1.1 Free space on hard disk The application requires 10 MB of free space on the HDD. Without sufficient free space, the application may not work properly. 1.2 Preliminary MFP/system settings Before using the application, confirm that the following settings are configured correctly. If the settings are wrong, then the application may not work properly Confirmation of IP filtering setting If the IP filtering setting is enabled, then configure so that the IP address is available. [Confirmation method] 1. Press the Menu key on the machine to open the Menu screen. 2. Tap the Utility button to open the utility screen. 3. Tap the Administrator Settings button to open the administrator settings screen. On this screen, enter the administrator password. 4. Tap the Network Settings button to open the network settings screen. 5. Tap the TCP/IP Settings button to open the TCP/IP settings screen. 6. Tap the Forward button to display the second page. 7. Tap the IP Filtering (Permit Access) button to open the IP filtering (permit access) screen. 8. If IP filtering (permit access) is enabled, add the IP address to [Set]. 9. Tap the OK button to return to the TCP/IP settings screen. 10. Tap the IP Filtering (Deny Access) button to open the IP filtering (deny access) screen. 11. If IP filtering (deny access) is enabled, and the IP address is included in [Set], delete the IP address. 12. Tap the OK button to return to the TCP/IP settings screen.

5 QUICKGUIDE Pagescope Mobile QR Code App 5 2. Installation of the application on MFP Please refer to the bizhub MarketPlace manual for further details of the installation. Please keep in mind that depending on the MarketPlace configuration only MFP administrators may install applications. 2.1 Display of the application button on the menu screen Display the application button on the menu screen (displayed when the menu key is pressed). Note Please install the application at first to the MFP via bizhub MarketPlace. In order to do so, admin login to bizhub marketplace is required. Please refer to the bizhub MarketPlace manual for further information. 1. Press the Menu key on the machine to open the menu screen, and tap the Utility button to open the utility screen.

10 QUICKGUIDE Pagescope Mobile QR Code App Tap the ON button, and then tap the Registered Application button on the screen. 8. Select PS Mobile QR Code, and then tap the OK button. Note Not displayed when the application is not installed on the native screen by bizhub MarketPlace.

The setting is complete if the application button appears on the menu screen. Note The IWS install tool used for installing the application also creates a button on the APP screen. Part of the application name may not appear on some application registration screens.

12 QUICKGUIDE Pagescope Mobile QR Code App Uninstall of the application 3.1 Uninstallation of the application Please refer to the bizhub MarketPlace manual for details of the uninstallation process. Note Uninstalling the application will delete all information set with the application. 4. Using the application The following describes how to use this application. 4.1 Starting the application Touch the menu key on the machine to open the menu screen. The following lists the device information stored in the QR Code. Device information IP address information DNS host name Subnet mask MAC address Details Stores the IP address of the MFP. If data acquisition fails, is stored. In this case, try again. Stores the DNS host name of the MFP. If data acquisition fails, (blank) is stored. In this case, try again. Stores the subnet mask of the MFP. If data acquisition fails, is stored. Stores the MAC address of the MFP. If data acquisition fails, (blank) is stored. Note When display is scaled by pinching in/out, the display may be corrupted. 5. Frequently asked questions 5.1 Version of the application Q: How can the version of the application be checked? A: The version of the Pagescope Mobile QR Code App can be checked with the following procedure. 1. Press the menu key on the machine to open the menu screen. Then, tap the Utility button to open the utility screen. 2. Tap the Administrator Settings button to open the administrator settings screen. On this screen, enter the administrator password. 3. Tap the Network Settings button to open the network settings screen. 4. Go to page 3 and tap the IWS Settings button to open the IWS settings screen. 5. Go to page 2 and tap the Application List button to open the application list screen. Note Not displayed when the application is not installed. 6. Select QR Code Creator and tap the Detail button.

14 QUICKGUIDE Pagescope Mobile QR Code App Diagram illustrating how to register information in PageScope Mobile The following procedure may be followed to register the MFP in PageScope Mobile for iphone/ipad/android using the displayed QR Code. 1. Tap [Select Printer]-[Add Printer] on PageScope Mobile. 2. Tap [QR Code]. Face the camera to the QR Code and image it. This detects the printer and displays printer information. 3. Tap [Add] to register the printer. This registers the printer. Note The above procedure is applicable to PageScope Mobile for iphone/ipad and is slightly different from that for registering the MFP in PageScope Mobile for Android.
