New products or technologies are not always seen as a good thing by the general public, society and even some companies. But not developing them may be considered a dereliction of responsibility. Companies are under increasing scrutiny about the way they address the moral dimensions of innovation. The term responsible innovation (RI) is appearing widely in policy papers from the EU and national governments, but without a clear definition. Like sustainability in the 1990s, responsible innovation will affect R&D strategy and so R&D managers must be prepared to address it. EIRMA has set up a Task Force to reflect on the issue and help members understand the impact of responsible innovation on how we innovate, where we innovate and for whom we innovate. The Task Force is working on a guidance document for R&D decision makers that will help them meet the challenge of responsible innovation without slowing the pace of innovation. One shuttle every 15 min. In the morning: from 7.15am to 8:45am In the evening from 4:15 pm to 6:15 pm By airplane Brussels Airport We recommend you to take a taxi. At the crossroad with avenue Van Oss, turning right through rue de Ransbeek, then left to the reception. From the Center of Brussels After the Van Praet brigde, go along chaussée de Vilvorde Turn left up avenue du Marly, then turn right along rue de Ransbeek to the reception.
