Programme Objectives The programme aspires to give the participants an insight into the Indian socio-cultural, economical, political and legal environment for doing business in India. The programme focuses on the growth sectors of Indian economy such as software, BPO, bio-technology, contract research and manufacturing. It facilitates the participants to learn about the Indian managers, their ways of being and how to relate with them. The programme also familiarizes participants with challenges of growth in Indian organizations and about the human resource practices in high performing Indian Organizations. Indian economy has been the second fastest growth economy in the world and it seems to have weathered the recent recessions. In terms of purchasing power parity, it is the fourth largest economy in the world. The top-class educational institutions and highly favorable demographics make India a desirable place for talent in multiple disciplines. Liberalization and globalization of the Indian economy for the last two decades has made India an exciting and interesting place for business. The course will focus on some well-known and respected Indian organizations from public sector, private sector and cooperative sector. The programme will focus on challenges and learning from India in the functional fields such as Indian economy, internationalization of Indian companies, marketing challenges in India, and leadership and human challenges in India. Learning from the course will prepare the participants to work with Indian organizations and Indian professionals.
