3 FlexBox - highest standards in firestopping Cables and wires form a network throughout a building. In some cases, this network leads through walls that separate fire compartments. In spite of the resulting penetration, these walls must retain their fire resistance rating so that neither smoke nor fire can advance into protected areas: not a problem for the FlexBox cable penetration seal from Spelsberg. Fast, flexible, safe FlexBox is a ready-to-install cable penetration seal for varying wall thicknesses. No matter how large the opening or how thick the wall, the versatile cable penetration seal is easily installed. Its galvanised sheet steel housing with adhesive-mounted circumferential intumescent strips protects the cables passing through it. Two sealing plugs made of insulation-forming foam plastic seal off the external sides of the wall; in a fire, the material foams up and reliably prevents ingress of fire and smoke. 3
