A mechanical pressure switch controls the pressure vacuum to guarantee reliability and safety. The motor of the smoke suction unit is mounted on special ceramic fibre gaskets and is sealed for protection against dust filtration: the blade is made from self cleaning stainless steel The motor of the room fan is sealed for protection against dust penetration and it has a capacity of 470 m3/h

27 The maintenance The cleaning of the pellet stove is mandatory and necessary. More frequently is the cleaning more usefull will be the stove. It takes 10 minutes (twice a week)!! It is important to use a dedicated vacuum cleaner Twice a year or at the end of the heating season, it s important to made a deep cleaning (brush the different, disassembling and reassempling oll the pipes and ductings) performed by a qualified and expert personnel.

28 The production in Italy In Italy there are about 180 producers of biomass based heating systems (fireplaces, stoves, boilers) able to cover the Italian and European demand. The supply is mature and constituted by big producers supported by local network of retailers and authorised commercial agents and maintenance centres. The majority of the producers manufacture fireplaces and stoves even if producers now tend to have a complete offer with boilers, hibrid solutions, accumulators as well (and further customisations requested for specific case studies). Big diversification of the supply able to cover every single market niche and every product price. Biomass based heating system producers do not provide the supply of wood fuel even if some big brands are trying to provide this service as well.

29 Are they expensive?

30 Italian Incentive programme It s possible to have a discount of the taxable income (36% in 10 years) with 10% VAT: - if the stove installation is considered as special maintenance, conservative repair or renovation of single family houses or apartment buildings. - if the pellet stove has a declared efficiency not fewer than 70%. It s possible to have a discount of the taxable income (55% in 3 years) if the stove installation is able to obtain a certified energy savings of 20%. The calculation of the energy reduction is based on a complex formula taking into account the specific category of the building, the climatic zone, etc. Furthermore the appliace have to comply with EN 303:5.
