5 the library the bank le cinéma le théâtre the museum the factory the church le gratte-ciel le bac le parking Les Objets Let s Review!! Direct Object Pronouns answer the questions WHO or WHAT. French Direct Object Pronouns: me/m (me) te / t (you) le / la / l (him/her/it) nous (us) vous (you/you all) les (them) Did you notice that you drop the "e" in front of vowel and replace with an apostrophe? When you replace the noun with the pronoun, you have to use the one that is the same (masculine or feminine) and (singular or plural) as the noun. A pronoun replaces a NOUN. Important: In English, the object pronouns are placed after the verb, but in French, of course, it is not the same. The object pronouns go the verb. Example: Paul looks at me. Paul me regarde. Il t'invite au cinéma. He invites you to the movies.
6 Ils nous adorent. Je les mange. He loves us. I eat them. If there are two verbs, the pronoun will go in between the verbs. Example: Je vais mettre le pull. Je vais le mettre. 7 Les Pronoms Encore When we use the passé-composé, if the direct object comes participle with the noun. the verb, we will make the past Examples: Antoine a vu ses copines? Oui, il les a vues. Sophie a entendu sa mère? Oui, elle l'a entendue. Laure a écouté son disque? Oui, elle l'a écouté. Marc a vendu ses vélos? Oui, il les a vendus. Ses copines is feminine and plural, so we add ES to the past participle. Sa mère is feminine and singular, so we add E to the past participle. Son disque is masculine and singular, so we don t add anything to the past participle. Ses vélos is masculine and plural, so we add S to the past participle.
