In addition to top-quality document management systems, our professional services offerings ensure you receive the highest performance and care for your scanner and scanner accessories. Our commitment to you, both before and after the sale, is to provide complete satisfaction with Panasonic products and services. We are dedicated to giving you total peace of mind throughout your experience with us. 3
4 Warranties Beyond 90 Days STANDARD DEVICE WARRANTY All Panasonic scanners come with a Standard Manufacturer Warranty that protects you against any mechanical or electronic problems from ninety days (90) up to three years depending on the model*. We stand behind every scanner and offer the highest level of support so you can rest easy. These warranties are valid from the date of purchase. Every standard warranty includes onsite support or advance exchange services guaranteeing that your scanner will be up and running the next business day**. Specifically, Panasonic will repair and/or exchange any defective unit, exclusive of consumables, free of charge within the continental U.S., Puerto Rico, Alaska and Hawaii***. In the event of a defect in materials or workmanship which Panasonic cannot repair, Panasonic will replace the unit with a comparable rebuilt, reconditioned or reclaimed unit through the standard warranty period. Standard Warranty benefits: n Phone support Free U.S.-based hotline support for scanner hardware n Hassle-free No need to schedule any service personnel n Fast turnaround Do not have to wait for defective unit to be returned first n Reduced downtime Up and running, in most cases, the next business day n Ultimate solution Quick and easy; scanner replacement shipped overnight EXTENDED WARRANTIES PROVIDE UP TO 5 YEARS OF COVERAGE Panasonic offers extended warranties that provide warranty coverage on any Panasonic scanner up to five years from the purchase date. The extended warranty covers repairs in the same manner as the standard warranty, and includes failures due to defects in materials/workmanship that occur during normal use. All system components are covered, except consumable items. * KV-S10XX/50XX series includes a 3 year warranty, KV-S40XX/70XX series includes a 90 day onsite warranty, and KV-S3105C includes a 6 month warranty. **Advance Exchange service requests or determinations made after 4 p.m. are not guaranteed for the next business day. ***Coverage may vary depending on location. Additional fees may apply. 4
5 ONSITE SERVICE WARRANTY An onsite service warranty ensures that in-warranty repairs and service will be performed at your place of business by authorized technicians using only Panasonic-approved parts. Onsite Service Warranty comes with several options to best suit your needs: n 24/7 service provides around the clock service at your place of business, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, excluding holidays. Response time is up to eight business hours. n Same-business-day service provides service the same day at your business location, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Response time is up to four business hours. n Next-business-day service provides service by the next day at your business location, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Response time is up to eight business hours. NEVER A FEE TO EXTEND OR RENEW A WARRANTY ON UNITS WITH AN EXPIRED WARRANTY In addition to being able to extend or renew the warranty coverage on your scanner, you can also add warranty coverage on units which have an expired warranty. Warranty coverage can be added to any unit at the current warranty price, as long as the unit is functional. Just call for details. 5
6 PRO-TECH CARE SERVICE PACKAGE Panasonic Pro-Tech Care Service is an ongoing regular maintenance onsite service program that keeps your Panasonic scanner in top operating condition with a thorough periodic service and cleaning of the unit, including roller kits. Give your scanners the expert care and service required for a consistent high level of output and performance. Available in one-, two- and three-year contracts. (Not available for KV-S10 series scanners). You can add Pro-Tech Care Service to your onsite service at any time. Questions about warranties? Call us, we re happy to help! 7 Worry-free service from installation to trade-in The Panasonic Service Program offers authorized professional services to make the operation and maintenance of your Panasonic scanner easy and carefree. In addition to maintenance programs, Panasonic also offers installation and set-up services so that you can save time and have your scanner up and running in no time. INSTALLATION AND SET-UP Save time and get it right the first time with expert installation and set-up of your scanners by Panasonic. Our nationwide team of certified installers leverages its extensive specialized product knowledge to deliver a meticulous and timely installment including installation of scanner drivers and related bundled software on the workstation. Our experts will also ensure that your team is trained in basic operating procedures so you can get up and running fast. 7
