Users post messages of up to 140 characters, referred to as tweets. The user s followers receive those tweets in real time. Twitter does not publish the number of users it has, but it is estimated to be well over 7 million. The audience is thought to be slightly male, with users also visiting TechCrunch, E!Online, realitytvworld.com and the Huffington Post. You can find new friends or follow those you already know. Do this by using Twitter features such as People Search, Twitter Search, Address Book Import and URL Look Up. As you make friends (i.e. follow others tweets) they will likely add you as a friend (i.e. follow your tweets). Give people some sort of information, something they are likely to re tweet or RT (i.e. share with their followers). 5 Search Engine Registration Register Domain Name with Google, Yahoo, Excite and MSN search engines Google AdWords Marketing Google AdWords is a pay per click internet marketing campaign, meaning you only pay when someone clicks on your ad. To define the keywords, think of what a customer would type into Google search to find your company (consignment, used clothing, clothing boutique, etc.). They can be single words or phrases. Once you have the list defined, I will get you the cost of a click for each keyword (they are all different depending on the popularity of that word being used in searches). Maintenance involves tweaking ads and keywords to ensure the most utilized ads and keywords are being implemented. We create your ads We create ads and choose keywords, which are words or phrases related to your business. Your ads appear on Google When people search on Google using one of your keywords, your ad may appear next to the search results. Now you're advertising to an audience that's already interested in you. You attract customers People can simply click your ad to make a purchase or learn more about you. How it works: Having an AdWords account gets you a featured ad (the ones on the right and top of the screen) in Google. You pay a fee each time someone clicks on your ad and is taken to your web site. The fees vary based on popularity of the word/phrase the person typed in Google to find your ad. They assign the fees to the word/phrase based on how many times it is used within a month. Most of the words run from $.10 to 3.00 per click. We set up your account in AdWords target area for ads is set up can consist of certain cities, regions, states, the entire US, select world wide countries or the entire world, for your ads to show to visitors (yes they can tell where you are visiting from) You decide how much you want to spend per month on AdWords advertising starting at $1/day once you reach your limit, the ads will go away until the beginning of the next month. You can go in and adjust your amount up during the month and the ads will reappear. If you use up your budgeted amount, it means people are visiting your site. They require a credit card or a bank account to debit in order to activate the account. You decide on what the most you want to pay for a click through(someone clicks on your ad and is taken to your web site)is $.50, $1.00, $2.00 etc. this is the most you will be charged for a click through. The cost is based on the amounts assigned to each word/phrase in the keyword tool

6 We then take your list of words or phrases that you think people would type into a search engine to find your site and enter them into your keyword/phrase list. It will then tell you how much you will need to pay per click (someone clicks on your ad and goes to your web site) to be in the top 3 ads, 4 6 ads, etc. the AdWords ads are the ones down the right side of the Google screen when you do a search and at the top). The program will also show us how popular over the last month & year the words and phrases you chose were as well as how popular they are with competitor sites By having a top listing in Google, you are moved up in the other search engines as well. Their bots index Google s site every day. The sites they see at the top of search pages move up in ranking on other search sites Yahoo, MSN, Excite, etc. Your cost exposure is limited to the monthly budget you set. Local and regional targeting Set your ads to appear only to people searching in a particular state, city, or region. Now it's easy to target online customers within, say, 25 miles of your front door. People searching for information related to your business will see your location, contact information, and an image of your choosing highlighted on a map of your area. Define a custom area to target around your business. Promote your location with local business ads. Facebook Advertising Works similar to Google AdWords advertising except these ads appear only within Facebook s pages. You have a choice of paying by clicks on your ad or by 1,000 impressions (ad displays). Cost per click or impression are based on the popularity of the keywords/phrases you choose. With Facebook you can specify the target audience that will see your ad by state, country, viewer sex, viewer age or age range, and specific keywords that would be in their facebook page. A Facebook Ad is how a business or brand can start to promote their product or service on Facebook. This ad unit is 100% branded by the advertiser with copy and image and does not include any social actions. It can link to a Facebook Page, application or external website. An ad directed to a Facebook Page or application can generate social actions for future campaigns. A Social Ad is a Facebook Ad with a user s friends interactions with a Facebook Page or Application as the headline. It includes the branded image and copy from the advertiser alongside the social action.

7 Facebook Ads display in the right side column on Facebook pages in the Ad Space. In the Ad Space, up to three ads may show at one time on any given page. These right hand spaces might include three Facebook ads or one Facebook ad and one banner ad. In the second case, the banner ad will always appear below the Facebook ad. Facebook determines the location of a user based on IP (Internet Protocol) addresses, which can help identify the country or city where a user is physically located. If a user has listed a current address on their profile, they may see ads targeted to that location, regardless of where they are currently located.
