1 OFFICE OF CURRICULUM & INSTRUCTION KEYBOARDING Grades 9-12 Credits: 2.5 ABSTRACT This keyboarding course will emphasize the development of proficiency and confidence in the use of keyboarding as a modern instrument essential in business, practical in the home, and expedient in education. The ability to keyboard business and personal documents will provide the student with a basic tool to improve his/her daily life, and is used in nearly every kind of business occupation. This course uses one of the more popular word processing programs that will save the student an enormous amount of time and improve his/her productivity. Keyboarding is designed to teach computer keyboarding, formatting, accuracy and proper keyboarding technique. BOE approved 10/8/2013
